Hey guys, if you're looking for something to do, I might have a suggestion. The BLM office in cody is looking for people with 4 wheelers, or trucks to explore the random ass BLM road out in the middle of nowhere. You just need to stop by the office, they'll train you on this special GPS they want to to carry in tracking mode and they'll kinda tell you which roads to start at. After that you just explore! Sadly, its all volunteer but it could be a good way to burn a weekend!

That's pretty cool actually haha. I wish I lived a little closer to cody. Bit far of a drive for volunteer work.

Sorta haha. I just don't want to go out there with the trucks these guys have and me being the only one remotely set up for snow. If I get stuck then I will be screwed.

I am comfortable with it in the snow. I wouldn't take it anywhere crazy but on basic back roads I don't worry a whole lot. I got myself out of some crappy situations with the maxtrax and a shovel.

They however are on bald street tires with heavy ass trucks.

I need a winch but other than that I feel like I am set up good enough.

    They might. I don't.

I guess your sig title, I thought you changed the title of your thread to that too, nermind. I forgot he had maxtrax, Those will be usefull haha

your truck is so light too gage that even if you did have a winch it would really only be super usefull for recovering yourself not the heavy trucks...

A bumper here, some tires there..... you know, stuff.
i've come to the conclusion that the best setup for snow is a winch, a tree, and a buddy with a snatch block

Yea and from my experience with big snow and diesels...didn't go well..haha you will be their saving grace if it's bad. But if you have to two or tug could be problematic.

Lol ya I only care about my truck. Guarantee that as soon as we get up there my bud pulls over and says nope. I wouldn't even let him take his truck out there if it was a more than a few inches.
