front differential spacer question

    hi i am not a mechanic.....i have no idea what a front differential looks like but i am trying to put the spacer drop in that came with my kit.....does anybody have a clear picture to show me

    If you aren't 4x4 what options do you have in the front to decrease the harsh CV angles?

    If you are a PreRunner and are worried about your CV angles, have no fear! There arnt any on a PreRunner. :D

    Well, putting a diff drop on a PreRunner is much more involved than on a 4x4, as you have to add a differential to the front. Then a drive shaft, transfercase, etc.. :)

    so if i have a non-4x4 trd sport taco and plan on putting a 3'' toytec lift....i don't need the front differential??? I do plan on getting the shock extenders but i've read on other forums that i don't need a newer uca. Is that true???

    A diff. is what makes your truck 4x4. You don't have that so you don't need to drop it, nor do you need the UCA's as you don't have CV joints.

    The UCAs help with alignment issues regardless of the drivetrain. I'd recommend them if you're going for 3" of lift, but they're not a requirement.
