I'm gonna wire both demon eyes and halos to two different switches. If I want the demon eye on but halo off I don't want the white ring to take away from the black housing and red demon eye. Idk what I want to do

If that's how you are doing it, my vote would be amber (or red) halos outside of the housing. I'm not big on white halos in our trucks. I understand wanting to change up though. Gonna look sick anyway you do it I'm sure lol

Yea I'm going amber for sure. So the glass ball of the actual projector will glow red when it is on by itself but the halo will be off and you will see the white circle when it's off. I believe I'm gonna do the amber on outside like I had before. But I have the new d2s and the red led demon eye now

    Look at build!

OR you could just SAC and not have to remove anything but the starter :D

Final touches and everything painted and the beds ready to go back on!!

Do you guys think that the tail light tinting stuff that some members use could be sprayed on the led ring to darken it a little bit? You would still get a clear amber ring and it would be a tinted color instead of white when not on. I don't see where the stuff could hurt since neither LEDs or HIDs are hot. Thoughts?

F&^%*@& G*$ D*^$ starter on these Tacos. I swear the design thinking went like this:

"Hey, where should we route these brake lines?"
"How about across the only realistic opening to remove the starter?"
    "Perfect!"

I'm not getting the complaints about the starter. Is it because of the AT? I can take mine out in 10 minutes (although I have the MT).

Mine is MT, and was Holy Hell to extract. Finally got it out through the top, but only by flexing the soft fuel lines a bit.

Oh. Maybe it is the difference between the V6 and the I4?

The I4 starter is BURIED and the fuel filter is behind the starter. If you ever replace the starter, its almost mandatory to replace the filter.
