Noob question but what benefit do you get from the spidertrax? Is it specifically for clearance issues?

IS there a need for them with stock wheels or just aftermarket?

just clearance. most people run em on stock wheels to clear the UCA's with larger tires. other run them for more backspacing on aftermarket wheels.

Usually to fit bigger tires. I want to run them so I have a little wider stance cause my bed rack and rtt sit pretty high. So a little wider will help my stability.

 

Those are different then the ones I saw on your build thread, my wife like the multiple spoke look, I'll show here these tonight and see what she thinks.

 

So essentially running a lift with aftermarket UCA's negates the need for wheel spacers unless I just wanted a ridiculously wide stance so tires can throw rocks all down the side of my truck?

Because in the near future when funds are there I will just do a full lift kit.

 

well new UCA's arent just for clearance issues.. and even then.. you can still rub the UCA's.. backspacing is essential.

WEll I really like the Method Mesh's and they are a 4.5 backspacing on a 17x9 wheel running a 285/70/17 should be good to go.

 

Going to have these for sale when I get my new wheels and tires put on. 3 BFG AT 265/70/17 C rated. They don't have a whole lot of tread left but would make great spares. They are all mounted on TRD Sport wheels that are in fair to good condition. They have a few scrapes but no structural damage. They will be back in Arizona around December 15th. I'm asking $85 each for a wheel/tire combo. Probably $50 a tire if separated and $50 per wheel. I will also have a stock spare wheel with whatever tire comes on there. $45 for that whole combo.

If you really need it sooner than that I will ship on your dime.

 

yup you'll be good. you'll still need to trim some of the fender.. and possible cab mount chop.

Pulled the trigger on some 35's and have some spares if anyone needs them?

They still have some life.......one has a plug but they all hold air and even wear as I rotate every 5k.
