A man was fishing. He began his outing with a 25kg Kingfish on the first drop and a 20 lb snapper on the second.

    >
    > On the third drop he had just scored his first ever King Terakihi when his cell phone rang. It was a doctor notifying him that his wife had just been in a terrible accident and was in critical condition in ICU.
    >
    > The man told the doctor to inform his wife where he was and that the he'd be there as soon as possible. As he hung up he realized he was leaving, what was shaping up to be, his best ever fishing trip. He decided to get in a couple of more drifts before heading to the hospital.
    >
    > He ended up catching several personal bests, limited out on three species and all in all, had his best days fishing by far. He was jubilant.... Then he remembered his wife. Feeling guilty he dashed to the hospital. He saw the doctor in the corridor and asked about his wife's condition.
    >
    > The doctor glared at him and shouted, "You went ahead and kept fishing didn't you!
    >
    > "I hope you're proud of yourself! While you were out for the past four hours enjoying yourself on the ocean, your wife has been languishing in the ICU! It's just as well you went ahead and finished the fishing because
    > it will be more than likely your last!" "For the rest of her life she will require 'round the clock care. And you'll be her care giver!"
    >
    > The man was feeling so guilty he broke down and sobbed .
    >
    > The doctor snickered and said, "Just fucking with you. She's dead. What'd you catch?"

    Evening all:
OH: Just read the last sentence! Looks like it came out OK! :D

Was raking leaves out of drainage ditches today. Seems the wind blew more than the usual amount into the area where they are at. Also widened a part for better flow. Usually I would be done by now, but will be back at it tomorrow. :(

Hang in there Capt.! Hopefully the pain will subside shortly.

    Evening Sue!

Good Joke Jim, I'll have to pass that one on. Heres one back at you.

Morty got a letter from the IRS informing him they were auditing his return. He called his accountant who told him" Morty go to your closet and get out the oldest ragged clothes you can find, wear old scuffed shoe's with holes in the soles and grow a scruffy beard. When you walk into the audit they'll take on look at you and feel sorry for you. They will go easy on you." Morty felt better but decided to call his lawyer just to be safe. His lawyer told him to "wear his best cashmere suit with a fine linen shirt and silk tie, wear his $500 Italian shoes, and walk into the audit with your head up and chest puffed out". They'll take one look at you and say here is a man we can't play games with and cut you a break. Poor Morty was torn between the two answers he got. Next day he was in the Deli having lunch when he see's his Rabbi. He goes over to the Rabbi and explains his dilemma to which the Rabbi says to Morty
" Morty, it's like I tell the bride about her wedding day, your father tells you to wear a neck high night gown with long sleeves and a floor length robe. your mother tells you to wear the sexiest negligee you can find showing lots of cleavage and leg. And I tell her it doesn't make any difference what you wears VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV

Either way your gonna get fucked:eek:

    Morning All:wave:...

    [IMG]love good jokes...

    Here's the story Rob,,.
Wife wanted to get a new car so she was looking at a Kia Sportage. Kia doesn't produce a lot of cars for stock so it's hard to get what you want in options. She wanted it fully loaded. We left a $500 deposit on one that had to be brought in from Jersey. It had everything except a navigation system. Here's where the problem begins. The dealership told us if we didn't take the car we would lose the $500 deposit of which I said was BS, but they said they can legally do that. Then they said they could get a Rosen Nav system for the car and it was to be better than a factory unit. We opted for the Rosen unit and after it was installed the wife was happy with it's operation :D then the problems started . The blue tooth wouldn't pair, so the installer came out and installed a whole new unit. This unit worked for a short time and then we had more issues . The steering wheel volume controls didn't work all the time, the audio would just quit and to get it back on the car would have to be shut down and the driver door opened, and then the back-up camera didn't work intermittently:mad:. The dealer principle was under fire and said they would get it fixed. After 2 new harness's and much ado I finally managed to get videos on my cell of the unit acting up. The dealer swore 98% that the problem was the car. I told him the problem was the universal "fits all" Rosen unit. He said they would install the factory radio system and if the problems were not there he would get us a UNAVI nav system. After 5 weeks with the factory radio and back-up camera in we had no problems so they ordered in the UNAVI...that's where I was and they installed it yesterday. So far it is working good. So for over a year, talking to lawyers and cursing at the dealership I think we finally have a fix:D. I contacted KIA about installing a factory Nav unit and gave them the VIN and they said it would be cost prohibitive due to the work that needed to be done to install the unit. There it is in a nutshell. Hope it continues to work okay. Time will tell. This unit is designed for Kia Sportages, not a universal "fits all" like the Rosen...of which I have it for sale if any one is interested:cool:...dealer doesn't want it back ...wonder why??

Have a good day all. Gotta get ready to go work with my son today.

 Dayum ... Helluva story there Ken. Not sure in good conscious if I could sell that thing to anyone ... Maybe take it to the range? :notsure:

Hope the new unit holds fast and your headaches are over with it.

Have a great day my friend. :)

Just got a call from my son and he is taking the day off. No helping him today:D:D

Fingers crossed, Deb is heading down to Williamsburg VA right after work with her girlfriends for a shop till you drop weekend which makes me a happy man for 6 days:yes::yay::laugh:... we'll see how well it works.
You have a great day too Rob:thumbsup:

Stealerships are a pita:eek:. You get a deal one time and go back to get another vehicle from them and they stick up the old cazoo:mad:...I hate having some dealerships do the work because of the incompetent help they have(if Mike was closer he would have all my work...do you do house calls Mike:)). Young kids right out of trade school that can only do what the book says with no common sense:eek:...I always helped my Pop when he worked on his cars(I started when I was 11) so I had a lot of ojt before I actually hit the work force. Agree on the aftermarket junk, but most are "universal" where this company makes them specifically for different vehicles(plug & play)...time will tell.
Did you leave a message with the doc's calling service to give you a call? Don't forget to call him this Morning Charlie...Positive thoughts and prayers headed your way daily.

Good jokes! I'd repeat them but I never remember jokes. :rimshot:
Did you find any wacky terbacky Charlie? :spy:
I hear that. I'm finally to the point in life where I can pay for a vehicle in full, and it turns out the dealers *hate* cash. They'd rather string people out on loans they can't afford than get paid. Another sign of the apocalypse I guess.

Election Day! Vote early, vote often!

Morning all, no problems on this end. Junk house, junk cars, no money to buy anything new with inherent problems, and an absolute fear of doctors. I'm safe until I win the lottery.
