Whats up everyone? new guy here.

This is my 2008 blue taco sport
    [IMG]

Ive had it for just over 2 years now as the second owner. I bought it with the kit on it. XD wheels, nitto grapplers, and the 3" Toytec lift.

I know im supposed to post technical questions in the correct topic, but I figured one post should be enough. Can someone explain to me why this lift is extremely stiff on the road? Id be better off replacing the suspension with fence posts. I mean seriously, a pebble throws this thing off. Im always having to correct the wheel. I didnt mind the lift at first, everything seemed normal but now I get frustrated every time I drive on the road. Almost to the point of wanting to trade it in. But I love this truck so Id rather keep it. Is there anything I can do to adjust this for a smoother ride? I imagine itll cost a lot.

    Thanks ahead for any info

To be honest with you I am not entirely familiar with the Bilstiens. I have just searched around, reading up on different kits. I know they are an adjustable shock with a few different settings. That kit comes with the Eibach coils and if I understand the kit correctly, the highest setting you can go to safely is .85. Which, I think is the second setting. If it is set at .85 (the second setting) then your coils might be preloaded, which maybe causing you a stiffer ride. Someone may be able to back me on that.

If that's the case you could always try setting your shocks to .0 or search the Old Man Emu thread to see if adding their coils upfront would help your ride.

I'm no expert, but using the search function will help you out for sure. Good Luck.

OME coils are not recommended for 5100's. I know people run them but the 5100's are not built to handle OME spring rates.

    This.
