Against Broncos or Chargers would be sweet. If we beat 49ers, I'll get something to trash talk for another year <typical Raiders bs> :brianr:

Other than that, A win would still mean we suck and our fans need to stfu with the crap and make us look even more like idiots with empty trash talk. Lol. Meanwhile...the Warriors and the Sharks are looking great

Not if that swinging door O-Line doesn't start to block someone. They are pathetic.. Both lines are O-Line and D-Line...
McCoy has 2 weeks to get this fixed and he better..

The Raiders are going to get 2-3 wins in the last 8. Carr is going to be a good QB in the league. They look terrible because this season is lost and their O-line is garbage. It won't take much to fix it tho, at least they have a QB now. They could win 6-8 games next year.

With Denver's dominance in the AFC west coming to an end after this year that division will be wide open. (huge salary cap issues for Denver)

Not sure I would be ready to write off either squad just yet.

I am not going with the whole ZOMG DALLAS/ SAN DIEGO SUPERB OWL line or anything. They were both over-rated.

But to dismiss them now is under-rating them, imho.

    They are both over rated.

Both teams when playing at their absolute peak can beat anyone in the league. But winning the Super Bowl isn't about playing great in 1 game it's about having the best season and then playing your best at the end of the year.

Both of these teams lack a Defense to keep their offense in the game when things aren't working great.

Neither of them are anywhere near as good as Denver on offense. We saw what happened when an offense doesn't click for one game, it only take a little bit of a pass rush to kill an offense. Denver spent a ton of money to fix their defense...

SD and Dallas are a worse offensive and defensive team than Denver. When they are on, they can rattle off a few wins.

And by wide open, did you mean the division is the Chiefs' to lose?

I mean it's wide open. Sure K.C. is probably the best team on paper after Denver but Alex Smith is a game manager at best. Their defense has slipped and Charles is fragile and getting older. They would need to do something before I jumped on that wagon.

Keep hearing all this game manager talk and all I see is him continuing to win games with great passer ratings. Not his fault that they have mediocre talent outside the tight ends.

    Defense has slipped?!?!

#1 in points allowed, #5 in total yards allowed...without Berry, Derrick Johnson and DeVito - 2, arguably 3 of them are Pro Bowl players.

Charles getting older is true, but Knile Davis is the future here.

And, I know, I was just trying to spark a debate :). But seriously, what is Phyllis doing in SD?! Hot and cold like crazy.

Let me rephrase my Alex Smith statement then. He's king of the regular season. People called Wilson a game manager too until they saw him dominate in the post season and put the team on his back all the way to a Super Bowl. I just don't see Alex rising to that level, he's had plenty of opportunities.

If what you say about the Defense is true, then that speaks less of Alex Smith. Ratings at this point in the season don't really matter much ..

Great defense, great running game ... team should be dominating. They're not. That points squarely at Alex.

Alex Smith was 30/46 for 378 yards, 4 TDS, and 0 INTS in the playoff game against the Colts. The defensive coordinator and poor execution from our secondary was what caused that loss. Bob Sutton (DC) seems to have figured that out from a coaching perspective and Dorsey (GM) has removed the morons that caused us to lose.

Did you not watch the Patriots vs. Chiefs game? That was a showing of how great they can be. They have not played to that level consistently, though they are doing what it takes to win; that's what matters most.

As far as us not dominating pointing squarely at Alex, take a look at his regular season stats:

He is 165/246 (67.1%) for 1,692 yards and 11 TDs vs 4 picks (3 in week 1). Not exactly great numbers, but efficient. Just think how they would look if that no-talent ass clown by the name of Dwayne Bowe and the rest of his circus receiving core could get open and catch the ball consistently.

    But I digress...

I want a super bowl before I die, DAMN IT!

All I'm saying is this. Right now K.C. is playing second fiddle to Denver in the division and 4th or 5th fiddle when you throw in NE and Ind, Pitt and maybe even Cincy.

I don't think Alex Smith is a QB that can win you a big game, I don't care about his stats. I also said I think the defense has slipped and though they were knocking on the door of elite ... the door never got answered.

To assume that when Manning retires or the salary cap breaks them up that KC is just going to be next in line by default is foolish. Pittsburgh is re-loading, Cincinatti is young as is Indy. I don't trust Alex Smith and Andy Reid to win the Super Bowl.

    Maybe I'm crazy.

Spent all that money and still got their asses kicked in all three phases... I honestly think Denver doesn't prepare well. No reason why they should lose the super bowl that horribly, then lose to the pats that horribly with the set up they have. I don't get it. As for the pats loss to KC... that was rock bottom, and if the two played again tonight, I would bet the patriots kick KC's ass. First four weeks took some time to get everything figured out, and it's looking like it's all set for the most part now. Honestly, I think the only possible loss for the pats after the bye could be the Packers, and even then, I think they have a better chance of beating them than the packers do of beating the pats. Browner has been a huge addition for us, playing linebacker, corner, and safety, and excelling at all three. Also, gronks back to 2010 Gronk, until some asshole decides to take a cheap shot this year.
