Screaming deal, friend of a friend who re-geared and than decided to SAS :) also got 1 brand new and 1 used oem cv for $100

The guy who does my fab and stuff is one of my best friends so I get the homie hook up. Half the time I'm just using his tools and he guides me anyway.

Johnny- I'm not scared of the rubbing at all I just kinda feel like it limits my suspension travel so much it's not even worth it until I get it tubbed. HH would be fun though!!! I want to pretend I'm a TTC competitor :D

Edit no front locker yet. Down the line I will.

In that case, come out anyways, ha. I won't be wheeling much, wifey is coming with and she doesn't like it, but good excuse to camp and one of the few places (currently) allowing fire in pits.

Did the starter repair last night. Right at 2 hours to do it.

Battery tested out fine again, so I went to start it, click, click... yep the damn starter. I whacked the starter with a hammer and got it started so I could move it into the garage. I did take the brake line bracket off, bend those lines out of the way. No way that exhaust bracket is coming off without a fight, so I used a wrench to get the bottom bolt off. I think I will be getting some ratcheting wrenches for Christmas. There was no pulling that starter out the top, that must be a 4 banger thing. It took me a while, but it I got it out.

Switching out the plunger and connector was supper easy. The shaft on the plunger was a little long, but that was an easy fix. Starter slide back into place and bolted back on easily enough. Did I mention that I am buying some ratcheting wrenches?! Quick test and everything fired back up.

I noticed a split boot, so I will be order some new ones from SDHQ and tackling that soon enough.

Consider stubby ratcheting wrenches. Gotta figure if it is a constricted area, you don't have much swing room. This is what I use on difficult-to-reach F-bomb areas.

Pass through rachets are awesome for hard to reach places. Especially ones with a swivel head

Have a set of pass through ratchets, didn't help in this case.

Installed new brushes in my alternator. The old ones were pretty much done for, and the springs couldn't overcome the friction from the dirt in the housing. The new ones are about twice as long as these after 195k miles.
