    Going good. I'm on chapter 9 now. Frickin' cried again when I read about your Granddad jumping with Gene on his back then losing Gene when he pulled the chute cord. Can't imagine how traumatic that must have been for him. Reading this for the second time, I practically feel like I know these guys. That probably sounds weird. :eek:

    Not at all man. I can't even start to imagine what was going thru all of that.
    Gene trying to get to the back of the plane thru that narrow catwalk, fire everywhere, people bailing. Was tandem jumping like that taught I wonder?
    Can't imagine the force exerted when the chute opened. And people on the ground looking up and seeing him fall from the sky.

    Mark and some relatives of the crew stopped by last year on a tour of the area. There are some markers there.

    That would be pretty cool. I wish I could have made the trip last year when a few of the relatives went. They visited all the sites. Alot of the pics are online.

    Actually it's just a fancy balloon that came in contact with two 16.5 kv lines and took out a few units at 1:00 in the morning. It put on a pretty good light show till the feeders opened.
