Exactly, one style has a straight edge, the other has a curved edge. The stealthbox needs the curved edge style.

Ya or you could always order the older version stealth box that has two woofers

Running into this issue too with my 2014. I too have the straight edge but I like the look of this box with the amp mount and single woofer compared to the dual woofer.

Can somebody hook me up with the VIN or part number details on the curved bin? It would be appreciated.

When I was researching this with the JL Dealer and his local Toyota dealer it seemed that Toyota used the same part number for the two different styles of storage bins.

Well crap. I just went to a dealer and opened all of their trucks. All square bins.

Either post yet another WTT thread in addition to the several already there or next option...

Will it fit without cutting / trimming?

i may actually do this i was talking to a local dealer and we discussed this and my concerns (thanks OP) with fitment. he reached out to JL and they discussed that the doublebox set up would probabaly not require any modification and accept the straight setup. i will probabaly go that route.

on a side note, does anyone know if their is a pre out existing on the Premium None JBL Head Unit?

    thanks!

for reference this is what i will probably go with

Unfortunately there is not... You will need a line output converter or an amp that will take high level inputs (jl and pioneer amps do this not sure of any others just read the stats) which is directly from the speaker wire.

    thanks! good to know!

so it looks like i have the curved storage bins and it will support the latest version. so the single JL 10TW3, while the Dual setup has two JL 10TW1's

which should be more then enough for what im looking for. no looking to win any SPL comps but just enough oomph when i have that new good tune as the stock setup is just missing that.

I love mine so far! It has far exceeded all of my expectations! Way louder than I thought it would be and surprisingly produces very acurate base, I never realized how much my other woofers sucked compared to this lol.
