X2 Charlie...I had plenty of good experiences and at times, even enjoyed some of my times in the USN.

Here is a picture of my friend from his retirement party. He is on your right.

Oh noes! The PC police will be here soon I guess. :p For me, 'child's brain trapped in an adult's body' is probably more correct. Glad you had some decent sleep for a change; that by itself can make a world of difference in recovery.

My amp was a Fender Super Reverb. Don't remember the wattage. It had 4 10" speakers. Sound was super clean but it didn't have the earbleed output levels of the Marshalls the rock groups favored in those days.

So the wife wants a Keurig coffee maker for Christmas. Started looking 2 days ago and decided to get a K75 machine. This is a lot tougher than expected. Seems Keurig is going to a newer system that reads imbedded ink, similar to what is on paper currency in the USA, so they can get royalties from other coffee makers that want to package the coffee in K Cups.

Amazon is the only place I could find the machine with a guaranteed delivery at $189.99.

    http://www.amazon.com/Keurig-K75-Si...TF8&qid=1415297789&sr=8-1&keywords=keurig+k75

Retailers such as Bed Bath & Beyond and Kohl's are not selling them on line but said to check the store for availability. Went over to Kohl's at noon and they had the machine for $95.99. They had two in stock, now there is only one. :D

    I am a happy boy!

Forgot to add that the price is good for today only.

Congratulations on a successful, frugal purchase!

My son and his wife gave us a Keurig last Christmas. We returned it for credit and got some other stuff for the house. I guess we're weird, but both my wife and I would rather brew a potful. First of all we grind our own beans; I know Keurig has a gizmo for that but it looks like a hassle to use. Second, we both like our coffee the same way (black) and with the same flavorings (none). We share a pot of coffee in the morning and that's it for the day. It's very rare that we just want one cuppa.

About the same here Dave but the wife wants one for Christmas so you know how that goes. I picked up a reusable basket as well since I like Kona Coffee for an afternoon pick me up. This Keurig is supposed to be able to heat water to 197° for brewing. We shall see. Coffee should be in excess of 195° when brewing to extract the full flavor of the ground bean.
