I know this is a lifetime led thread, but I don't mind taking some flack. With all the issues you guys seem to have with these, has anyone tried Vleds headlights? I'm looking to add some more white to my headlights and may go with Pee Runners route due to all the issue I hear in this thread.

Well what do you know another set of lifetime LEDs has failed!! I think I'm on set number four or five bye now. Best part was my passenger side low beam started to flash like a strobe light next thing I know I get pulled over. Luckily I did not get a ticket however I had to spend 30 minutes pulling the bulb out to determine whether it was a bad bulb or ballast.

I'm hoping the warranty is at least as good as the nine lives my cat has because hopefully by set number nine I will be rid of the truck and I have to worry about it anymore.

I was excited when these came out and quickly started following along. They are just like this cool flexible collapsing life time garden hose I have. I've only bought two, but I've owned six. They are crap, but it fits in a little pot by my back door and is handy for watering my plants. Now, I think changing the bulbs is a bit more complicated than swinging by Home Depot and getting a hose.

I have had mine for a little over a year. First led light driver failed right after install. Then the second led light driver has failed on me 2 days ago. Contacted Lifetime LED about the issue the same day. No reply back as of yet. I just swapped back to the stock headlight bulbs since those are a lot easier to swap out whenever they go. I suggest not purchasing these unless you like having one or more lights out at a time while you wait for Lifetime LED to get back to you and hopefully send you a replacement.

I had a headlight flicker and then go out. They sent we a new set (2) and the return shipping label. Easy folks to deal with.

Dude!!! Same thing happened to me. After a year my original set crapped out, and was cutting out completely while driving. I put the updated 35w ones in, and noted they are smaller fans, but same ballasts. I'm waiting on set #3 but will upgrade to the 70w versions. The set #2 was DOA brand new. Flickered high beams outta the gates. The Jeep has had no issues with the original set yet. It does suck because if they quit while wheeling or out in the middle of nowhere you are screwed without backup set of lights.

Second set burned out on me last week. Guess I'll just keep having them replaced under warranty until they find a version that works :(

    Just a few LEDs...
I hope that doesn't mean mine are next...

Seriously though, I actually got mine from AutoAnything marketed by Plasmaglow before I saw them on here. I've had them close to a year now with no problems. I did get my fogs from Lifetime and they're still going strong too. Good luck with yours.

    Just a little update.

The driver side bulb of my second set just went out last night. I already emailed them for a replacement.

My original purchase was mad on 2/14/2014
The first replacement set was sent 7/7/2014

Like GTSJames says, I will just keep getting them replaced under warranty.

Are you guys using the 1st gen or 2nd Gen bulbs?
I upgraded mine to the 70 watt version and have had no problems. Quality seems a lot better

If they want to send me the upgraded version then I would be totally find with that but I am not going to spend more money on bulbs that are going to keep going out.

My first order was the 1st version (small fan housing) but the replacements were the 2nd version (large fan housing).

This is what keeps me from LED bulbs. Warranty replacement is a pain in the ass, and a product that consistently fails isn't going to keep that warranty in business too long.

I totally agree with you. There is no way that this company is going to be able to keep up their lifetime warranty program but, since I already paid for them, I am going to get it warrantied as many times as they go out.

I do have to say that their process is not too bad. I used their "contact us" to give them my order number and date and they were pretty quick about getting back to me with a response.

For sure, ride it until the wheels fall off. Glad to hear it's pretty streamlined.

They have their own thread, questionable presence here though with possible dupe accounts. Similar issues with failures, FWIW.

There is another brand that has had better results but I'll have to look them up when I'm not on my phone.

So I could be very wrong about this company... here is the conversation.

    Me:
My original order number was XX-XXXX placed on 2/14/2014. I had a replacement sent to me under case number XXXX around 7/7/2014 because I was having issues with flickering before the bulb went out. Two days ago I noticed that my driver side bulb started flickering like it had before I received my replacements. Last night the bulb went out completely.

I have these installed on my 2008 Toyota Tacoma double cab short bed.

Please let me know if there is any more information that is needed for another replacement to be sent out.

    Lifetime LED:
Could you swap the drivers to see if the problem moves with the driver or stays with the bulb, then we will know what part is needed.

    Me:
I did as you asked and swapped the drivers. The same bulb (driver side) was still out so it's obviously the bulb itself.

    Lifetime LED:
The bulb will have to be sent in for repair, if it is unable to be repaired then a replacement will be sent. Reference EMA*07-010915*on or in the package with a copy of your original invoice. Our shipping address is

    Off Road Industries
    224 S Main St
    Canandaigua, NY 14424

    Me:
I am expected to have kept my invoice from nearly a year ago?

Will I be receiving a shipping label or are you expecting me to return your defective product at my expense?

Also, during the time frame that your defective product is being repaired what am I expected to do for a headlight?

Up to this point I have been assuring people in my off road community that your product was quality and your service was seemless in the instance of issues. If this is how your customers are being treated then I may have to re-evaluate my way of thinking.

Why should your customers have to pay for your product mistakes? Am I expected to pay for shipping and go without a headlight every 6 months or so? That seems to be the trend.

Please let me know so that I can make other arrangements for lighting and let people know how your company really is.

    ... awaiting a response...

Sinking ship, perhaps. Hopefully you don't get boned, or they save your respect and bone the next guy.
