I have the TRD sport unfortunately I don't have the locking rear diff which I really wish I had. The truck came with the spacer for the leveling kit. My question is I was reading the difference between TRD off road and TRD sport. I says the the TRD off road has an off road tuned suspension. What is the difference between the sport suspension and the the off road series.

Also how fare can I take this tacoma before it gets hurt. I just have the spacer lift (came with truck) and 285 Yoyo all country tires with a super charer.

Yoyo tires and a super charer...pretty fare.

jk. Helps, though, to read through before posting.

Sport suspension is more tuned for the road, off-road for that. Some like the more firm Sport over the more flexible off-road. Used to be the Sport got the four leaf suspension, and the off-road three leaf, not sure if that is still the case. It is with mine. I like the off-road suspension.

Scout ahead if you get leery and you should be OK so far as you know where your wheels are. Everybody has to ding or dent something before they know their break over angle or just how sharply it will respond on a slippery sand hill, just don't go doing anything really stupid like rock crawling in a stock setup truck, then your on your own. Also, bring a friend along in a second truck and TRY to get it stuck, then you get to see first hand.

I believe from reading here (also have a sport) the differences between an OR and Sport are primarily the rear locker and ATRAC, feel free to correct me anyone

For those with a Sport who want the locking diff, they come up pretty often on the Marlin Crawler Forum (full carrier). Just a minor mod to your housing to make it fit, so it is a doable mod if you choose.
