Same here Mike. Take the son to work then go and have the summer wheels swapped out for the winter wheels. Hopefully this is completed by 09:30 to make a meeting at church to get ready for a Vestry retreat tomorrow.

I think I will need brakes but hopefully not rotors. With 72K on the clock I think I will probably need both.

I know, how did we ever make it this far? ;)

I'm lousy at taking pics too ... probably why I don't take many either.

    Good deal Tom!

We've had our Keurig for I think 3 yrs now ... It's done very well by us. Our's looks very much like that one. I think that $95 is in the neighborhood of what my wife found it for on sale ... at Kohl's.

 Morning all. Busy shift Wed night/Thu morning so I didn't make it on here.

Hope all are well and have a great day. :)

Oh ... one more thing ... the title is "Cool Old Dudes!" :D

Welcome back Rob, hope you're rested up.

I hear you on the cold/damp Charlie, it gets into my bones. I think I may keep a fire burning all day today in the woodstove.

Not so much joints for me as it is the chilly feeling. We're cheapskates and keep the thermostat pretty low. On damp cold days the house never really warms up, unless we start a fire. Got a good one going now.
Naturally aspirated too. That's seriously cool.

Power went out again today for a few hours. Good thing I have:

    • Honda generator
    • Quick hookup to breaker box
    • Backup internet connection (DSL - good 'ol copper never goes down)
I just went outside, fired it up, hooked it up to the house, threw a few breakers, presto - power. Came in, pushed a few keys, presto - internetz. Wife loves it when I do that.:humble:

I took advantage of the runtime to change the oil in the generator. It was pretty crufty for only 15 hours, but it is the break-in oil. I'll have to keep an eye on the new stuff. Honda says every 100 hours, that seems like a lot of running to me, especially seeing as how the generator is pretty much constantly under load.

    Evening all:
Looks like a Hemi head design on the motor. Biggest ci I heard of before was a mountain motor W/855 ci. Definitely looks BAD!

Good to hear the Generator saved your day Dave, look out for what's coming. :(

Very good to hear about finally being able to get a good nights sleep Capt. That's a big plus in itself.

    :pccoffee: 'Morning dudes and dudettes.

We thought about one of those. Maybe if I had natural gas at the curb I'd do it. But I didn't want to have to rely on the propane truck making it here 2 days into an outage (we've had outages of 7 and 10 days since we've been here). With the gasoline powered generator I just have to be able to get myself in and out, and I keep 6 days worth of fuel here most of the time anyway.

One of my neighbors has a diesel generator and ~200 gallons of fuel. But then he's got very, very deep pockets.

That's lower consumption levels than the propane guy told me. He scared me off with a story about a woman w/2 100 gallon tanks that they were refilling every 2 days. Who knows, maybe she was running whole house A/C and cooking for a wedding reception.

We use propane for hot water and cooking. 100 gallon tank lasts us a long, long, long, long, time.
Bottle it and run your generator!
