    IMO, Forester>Crosstrek. Forester is just a little bit bigger, but it has the 2.5l engine instead of the 2.0 that the crosstrek has. The extra 20hp helps.

    If I'm going to spend more money, I would rather it be toward an outback. I like the crosstreks better than the foresters. The two are splitting hairs though.

    If I find a nice used outback I'm game. All depends on my job/bank account at the time. Ideally id walk in with cash so want be for some time :cool:

    From the research I've done on building a buggy with a STI trans the front diff of the WRX/STI is built into the trans.
    So it may be similar but its not the same.
