BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A KO2

The sidewall and side lugs look so good in that picture then you look further and see the same old KO tread in the middle. BFG failed on the redesign imo.

 

I pretty much agree with that, they are great for that purpose. I would have liked to see the KO2 as an in between to the KO and mud terrain.

 

well the tire does move up and down to. full lock AND bump it probably rubs for most people. you have 5100s so the suspension travel and full bump is the same, its just you sit higher within the cycle at ride height.
edit: also i agree backspacing will affect it

 

Those things look like the same old turd with a newish sidewall. I've run the KOs for a while and can't stand them. They are decent on things completely devoid of moisture. Add some water and they are awful. Mediocre grip on wet roads and sand. Dreadful in mud because they turn into slicks due to not being able to clear. BFG failed on their redesign. I am looking forward to some replacing mine.

Tested ours on a little patch of snow, seem to have a lot of traction over the original KOs. They also feel a little smoother offroad. I still think they are bigger even though the Internet says they aren't. They are rubbing on things out last KOs never did. Now that we went up in altitude and way back down, I think it takes a little bit of time for the shocks to return back to normal pressure because now they're rubbing even more lol

 

They are quiet - I don't notice anything different until I start slowing down and they sound a bit sticky - probably because my old tires were >10yr old!

The installers filled the tires up to 35psi, which is 9psi more than the recommended for stock tires (265/70/16) and they felt a lot stiffer. I'm not sure if it's one or both of being LT and the higher pressure.

Is there any way to get in on the $70 rebate that starts tomorrow? Silly me for wanting to get new tires the day they came out (11/1).

Here are a few pics of mine. Still running without wheels spacers, it's drivable but rubs on UCA. Will probably install this week. Really liking the tires so far.

Jason lee- we've noticed that sticky/traction sound at slow speeds too.

 

But otherwise, I feel that they are very quiet! I wonder if they will still sound as sticky after a few thousand miles... I only have about 300 miles on them so far.

 

my last set was Yokohama AT-S 285/75s that lasted 95K miles, now I'm 265/75s BFs T/A, I've heard all about the bad snow traction, but they and the Yokohama tires performed amazingly great with the mess we had last winter. Wet Traction? with the 885s and dakars I'm flinging this truck around the ramps like a sports car from the 'stiffer' ride.. seems fine...

But I can say the Yokohama tires had a better bite in the ice and snow, but very marginal

 

Waiting at a discount tire right now getting some 265-75-16's installed on a stock trd off road with stock wheels. Let's see if it rubs!

 

From what I understand, these new KO2's are actually M+S rated, unlike the KOs, so they should be much better than the previous T/A's

 

I've noticed this also. Still quiet and pretty smooth riding. My previous tires, Yokohama Geolander ATS were actually a touch noisier and the ride was pretty close to the same.
