I will be needing new tires come next summer probably. Want to get a head start and get a short list of tires so I can find the best price by then.

    01 Tacoma 4x4 with 2-2.5" lift. I am looking for a 265/75/16 size tire.

I mainly do pavement but with some dirt roads for fishing, hunting, biking and hiking on the weekends. No rock crawling or anything, but occasional branches, small rocks, etc... (whatever may be in the dirt road). Mainly all old fire service/forest service roads.

My biggest want is tread life. Want a tire that will last.

Pretty sure I want an A/T tire. I like the more aggressive look, especially for going up in size and what dirt it does see.

I do not know if I should get a P tire or go up to a heavier LT tire...??? I have almost 170k on the truck and I am pretty sure everything thats been on there was P rated tire. Would I really need a LT for my use? If I do get a LT tire I wouldnt want to go more than a Load C. I dont want to lose too much mileage because of a much heavier tire if I dont need it.

I'm not too concerned with road noise.

I thought I was settled on Duratracs but I read mixed reviews of them.

I like the Toyo AT II as well.

BFG AT KO/2 seem popular as well. (not sure what load ranges these come in)

Any of these be good for me? Or any other suggestions?

    Thanks!

Hankook dynapro ATM. Used in sharp rocks, rain & sand without issue. No mud yet but I try to avoid it at all costs. It has good ice and snow reviews as well.

X2!!!! I was gonna say the same, I got them and they look awesome and can be used for on or off road. The tread last a long time. I know a guy who got new ones after 80k miles and the old ones still had about 15k miles of tread left on them.

I bought 4 Hankook Dynapro ATM RF10 in P265/75R16 for $684 mounted, balanced, taxed. Love them.

50,000 mile warranty, some have gotten 70,000+ on same tires.

I agree, I love my Hankooks. They are super quiet and smooth on the streets and have a nice aggressive look to them. Also they are cheap compared to a lot of the other tires out there.

does turning tires to black wall out count? How bout added snug top rebel.
Michelin AT2, I got 80,0000+ miles on my last set on a f350, I'm sure they could get 100,000 on the taco.

I'm actually looking for a different tire because my Hankook ATm's are not that impressive in our wet coastal snow

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Slapped a set of stock size BF Goodrich Commercial T/A Traction on this Bitch 2 weeks ago; so far it's been better than I hoped.

My local Americas Tire has the Hankook ATM in 265/75/16 for $630 OTD. That is definitely doable... With your guys glowing reviews. Probably the tire I will get.

    Thanks!

Next in line is my steering rack. Ugh.. Very slow leak in it and the bushings are shot. Will probably have to do that before tires. Trying to baby it till next spring. Wife's hernia surgery swallowed up all my money haha.

Supposedly AT2 last longer than any of them. I like the traction I get from mine, but I haven't had them in snow yet.

How is the hankook traction on wet pavement? My biggest issue with my duratracs is wet pavement traction, as in it doesn't exist.
