Been at it almost everyday for 3 weeks now. Almost got the GM alternator out of '85 lastnight. It's tight in there. Ordered POR-15 lastnight :woot:

Got impatient and pulled the steering box off the '85. Mocked it up to use a flat arm, and it should work perfect rightchere, just held the flat arm up next it with a spare TRE and eyeballed it. Looks like plenty of room to swing under the frame. All the way forward without hacking the core support.

So I'll work on the steering box frame brace, boxing the front spring crossmember, and hopefully have it done so I can POR-15 the frame this weekend.

Got the holes drilled for the steering box, and realized I am missing a frame tube and bolt . I marked the plates where they need to cut, with the steering box rotated.

I found some steel at work that I can use to make the ram brackets and box the bottom of the Sky crossmember.

Leave it to Chrysler to put holes in their frames. Good thing you got a welder to fill in the voids. This jeep is destroyed!

When I get the axle underneath this 4Runner!. I'm gonna go ahead and install the shock hoops so I can paint the frame tomorrow hopefully.
