Weeping coil pack gasket at 85k (never more than a shiny film, but it annoyed me, so I changed it out along with the valve cover gasket). And replaced the starter at 104k (I think the contacts wore out). I was hoping to do none of these, since my father has an 03 Tundra with 245k miles on it, and has never had a leak, or part off the truck. But this is nothing compared to my 96 Heep Cherokee!

My damn front passenger side window broke one of the little plastic tabs where it attaches to the window regulator mechanism. 25,000 miles.

Still under the 3 year 36,000 mile warranty so I guess I'll schedule an appointment to take it in.

    Cheap ass damn windows.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Yes indeed, same thing happened to the Big 3, they started out great and went downhill when they got big and corporate. GM has been battling quality control issues for 30 years. It's a shame too because GM used to be really good.

For me, smog pump at 24k and battery at 34k 2.5 years of life. Both covered under warranty, want surprised about smog pump as it's an ongoing issue for the tundra guys. Battery surprised me and just flat out died, didn't get weak first.

Battery took a crap like that too and left me stranded in the middle of the desert. I had to walk 5-6 miles down a sandy wash until I reached the highway. From there I hitched a ride with a couple of crack head looking teens who appeared to be living out of there car. I shared the back seat with a 200 lb dog who could have eaten me for lunch but instead just torchured me with droiling in my lap. They dropped me off at a gas station and I handed them $20 for helping me out.

But yeah battery took a shit at about 35k and the common blower chirp happened about 20k. Dealer handled the chirp and its been chirp free since. Aside from these minor fixes nothing major (knock on wood).

For the most part I think a lot of this comes down to the worker of today verses the worker of the say '30-70's. The pride in craftsmanship and work, that and work ethic along with Unions have kinda killed the "have pride in your job" mentality in the workers of today. Now it's "I hate my job but I'm in a Union so you can't fire me, F.U." way of thinking. Try and say I'm wrong about this, may not be the way a lot of us think but a majority do think this way nowadays and it's just sad. You can see it in every field of work.

OP why are you asking? If you want to stockpile common fail parts, get a set of wheel bearings, a spare belt, idler pullies, and driveshaft carrier bearings. All of those commonly wear out in under 100K. Other than those it's kind of specific to your driving style. If you rock crawl a lot you will eat steering racks, go fast and alignment tabs and motor mounts are a point of failure.
