It is the more green two tone. Don't have a pic but it's the color they discontinued a few years back.

Figured. To the best of my knowledge Glock has never made a slide w/a different slide so you threw me for a loop when you said 2-tone. When I think of 2-tone I think of some sort if a silver colored slide.

I've been looking for Ruger's new American Predator in 308 for a few weeks now, had an alert set with gallery of guns as well as called one of the LGS and had me put down on the interested list with no eta on arrival to his shop.

Got an email today saying Davidsons had ~25 come in, check the price at the closest place 2 miles away and it's only $20 more than the other shop I called. It'll be here Tuesday or Wednesday for me to pick up. 15 of them already sold today.

Next up was deciding decent optics for hunting/range. It was going to be either a Redfield Revenge or Nikon Prostaff, in either 2-7 or 3-9. Looking around at prices, I saw Midway had the old model Revenge 3-9 (I think the range finder reticle is different?) on clearence for about $40 less than the other options.

Now I just gotta wait patiently til Tues or Weds

    edit:

And of course I just checked on ammoseek and Able's has Leverevoloution 35rem in stock, so I ordered a couple of boxes plus some Hornady whitetail for the new gun.

And then a Crimson Trace grip laser plus a guide rod laser. That should do it.

I tried them on several rifles for many thousand rounds before Magpul even officially released them & as much as I wanted to like it it ended up being in the way & one more thing to worry about. Even once I got used to it I would still accidentally drop the bolt between mags more than I would actually use it for the purposes intended. The fact of the matter is it's a solution looking for a problem & adds more problems than it solves.

Fire control group pin retainers are 100% pointless on semi-auto AR15's.

I don't think I'll ever build a quad-rail rifle again. Too many lighter & cleaner options these days. Keymod & M-LOK are way better options IMO. Hell, I'd even take a MOE handguard over a quad these days. Lighter, cheaper & has provisions for just about everything you'd need save for a PEQ laser designator but I don't know too many people running those anyway.

Im fixen to ditch my Knights armament quad in favor of an MOE or may extend it out to mid length. Probably MOE for weight savings.
