Waiting Period After Order

Yesterday, I ordered a 2015 Tacoma Double Cab, 4x4, Limited, Pyrite Mica. Dealer said 4 to 12 weeks for delivery. What is the average wait for delivery??

Also, living in Central Michigan, wondering which plant will most likely build that Tacoma?

 

Mine came in six weeks.

 

6-8 I'd say Is pretty normal

 

When I ordered my truck on 10-27 -14 my dealer called me 3 days after that and told me my truck would be built on 11-7 -14 and I could expect it to arrive a few days before thanksgiving. We will see.

 

Just depends at what point in production they are in or if the dealer really ordered it and just did a dealer trade with another dealer

 

my wife order her camaro couple years ago and it took 6 weeks.

 

I ordered my 2015 on October 11 and they say it was built on Oct 27 and will be here next week. So about 4.5 weeks for me, as long as it shows up next week.

 

According to the dealer, the closest dealer trade would have been in Ohio, about 500 miles away. I turned that down, and really prefer ordering, no trade.

I just ordered last night, dealer will submit the order on Monday. Due to my location, and the fact that the vehicle has to be barged up, I was told 3 months. Apparently there's only been one 2015 Barcelona Red Sport AC 6spd been made, and it was shipped to NY.

The only time I envy the lower 48, is shipping and the ease of services.

 

7 weeks, 2 days from order to delivery.

Taco made in Texas, I live in southeast PA.

Ordered mine Labor Day weekend.

Seems like that one must have been in the system before you ordered! Thanks for the wish for good luck. My Grand Rapids dealer won't even officially submit the order until Tuesday. I'm thinking the soonest will be well into December.

 

And Mexico!

 

same difference, unless the one on the lot has miles on it. only difference is you wait now.

 

Right, and that is why I'm worried!!! However, still much better than being built by any UAW plant!!!!

 

Why would you be worried if it is made in Mexico? Fact, VW and Toyota have improved production, loss control and quality control is excellent from the Mexican plants. I'd take one from MX all day.
In fact, Toyota recently added another shift in their Tacoma plant.

 

You may be right. I do know that Mexican's have good work ethics, values, etc. Maybe my opinion stems from my buddy, a retired Ford engineer, who claims Ford had many issues with transmissions made in Mexico. Plus, at a family reunion in Montana years ago, one of my relatives had a new Ford truck with a Mexican made transmission fail in the mountains. Probably my thoughts are outdated!

 

Mexican Tacoma plant is highly awarded. Don't be silly.
