Has anyone read the book, or tried the diet? Basically anything that has wheat or grains in it you stay away from. I have done some research on it, and alot of people have done it and lost the weight. Just seeing if there is anyone on here who has done ita.

I cut wheat and dairy out of my diet and a couple other things and lost 15 lbs in 2 months. Look at the Whole 30 diet. Easy, good food and works

I checked out the Whole 30 website but they dont tell you much withouth signing up for stuff. Any info on it you can talk about? Im sure its similar to Paleo. I love milk and sandwiches so any of those diets are super hard for me to stick to.

Edit: im 34 yrs old now and the 6 pack abs are gone. Like a lot of yall 20 yr olds i could eat all day and stay fit. Now its a different story.

We actually cut all that shit out before I even knew what a Paleo diet was but now that I know more about it I may take the next step & go full out Paleo as we almost are w/o the 'blocks' for measurement. I'm going to sit down this afternoon & draw up a game plan for this week based on my needs on the Paleo diet & then hit the store tomorrow & prepare all my meals while I watch football for the week & see how it goes. But we just started by cutting out all grains & dairy after I did a juice fast & it made a big difference. Basically eating protein, fruits & veggies is a healthy move from the traditional American duet no matter how you go abaout it.

The FDA food pyramid is trying to kill you. :anonymous:

Cereal & sandwiches was my life growing up man. If it wasn't water I was drinking it was milk. My bones are string as shit but they also need to be to carry around all my extra weight if you get my drift. I'm 37 in a couple of months & I think everyone hits that wall you're talking about around the same ag . Suddenly it matters what you put into your body. Big time.

A lot of the wheat free diets are because of gluten sensitivity or celiac. For some people it is just a fad and the latest bandwagon to jump on. For some who really have the sensitivity (/allergy??) to gluten, it can be a serious difference in their lives.
My son was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis several years ago. There is no real cure for it and doctors only prescribe pain medicine and tell him to live with it. We tried every possible thing from acupuncture to homeopathic treatments etc. At a time it was so bad that he could not walk between classes at school and had to use a wheel chair. We then found this doctor that is a leader in gluten sensitivity studies and he put him on a "gut repair" treatment to reverse the gluten damage in his gut, and then started the healing process through lots of natural supplements (vitamins, minerals etc.) and of course gluten free diet. Six months later (and about $10,000 that insurance does not cover) my son is completely pain free. He jogs every day and is ready to try out for JROTC raiders next year. I was very sceptical because none of the other things that we tried had worked and I thought it was just another thing for celebrities to go crazy about, but I can truly say that it works.
The big thing is however that there is no room for cheating. That's another long story for another post, but just one slice of bread can put him back to at least 2 weeks of pain to get it out of his system. Fortunately he is very good at watching what he eats.

Booze in general is a no no for Paleo. Now, if you choose to adhere to that 100% or not is up to you but that's the way the cookie crumbles.
