I MIGHT be able to pull off one and the trip. If i go to mexico, i would not be able to. the whole trip cost ($2000) is due now, plus a $1000 for a front bumper. If i go to the bahamas, trip cost is due in July, so i would be able to spread it out a bit...might just do that.

Ive been diving in mexico for the past 2 years, its great, but it might be time for a new trip. I think thats a pretty good plan Bob....Thanks, problem solved

    TC's are 3/16 steel

This bolt on lower a-arm skid plate uses 3/16” mild steel to provide maximum protection from the elements and will protect areas most vulnerable to rocks and tree hang ups on the trail. TC’s armor is CNC laser cut, pre bent and welded ready for easy installation. The skids bolt into existing factory lower control arm bolt holes (enlarging some holes may be necessary). Carriage bolts are used to eliminate damage caused by rocks. These arms ship raw so the armor can also be fully welded to the stock lower control arm for added strength & protection.

finally got my BAMF LCA skids on, will get some pictures of the under side of the truck up soon. Also plan on relocating the 7 pin now that it is nice out. Just bought a house, so it might be a while before the bumpers and winch are bought. Hoping i can work some OT soon and fill that bank acount back up.

if you want a slightly used chrome rear bumper with the 7pin mod already done to it then sell your rear bumper (might be in better condition than mine), you can have my old rear...seems how you'll be getting rid of the rear soon enough

i'd like to see it out of my house :D

sounds good...hard for me to justify selling a used and dented bumper, but would be a good temporary bumper that i'd gladly give up

finally got my ARB on, and some BHLM headlights. Im just waiting on the winch and trying to decide what i want to do about lights. Im thinking about a light bar, but i need to make some measurements and figure out if thats the way i want to go.

I added a Leer topper to it while i was in Portland, the Bestop leaked like crazy.

Also, I just bought an 8 switch bezel from an FJ, so its time to start looking into heated mirrors, heated seats, rock lights, bed lights, back-up lights, dual battery....the list goes on....

you should look into trimming the bumper for better tire clearance before you eat up a set of tires

Welp, Its been a while since I've posted on my build, and not a whole lot has changed. Ive got a light bar mounted that I got for free, and I just installed some Dakars in the back with a u-bolt flip kit and timbren bumps as well as new light racing UCAs. Jace, I still owe you a case of beer from some work you did.......

Next up is installing a new single DIN radio with a 6 switch switch panel underneath, wiring up the light bar and putting in cab winch controls. Hopefully I will be ordering what I need in the next week or so so I can get everything installed before a 3000 mile road trip in December.

Awesome truck!!! Liking the build. What kind of light bar did you get? Dakars are awesome! I installed mine a few months ago and recently did a 3200 mile road trip through the Midwest. They handled awesome and carried 500lbs in the bed at all times without a problem.

Good stuff so far man! Keep it up.

I forget who I got it from, It was a guy on here that didn't deliver any lights for a very long time. I got fed up and told him to cancel my order, he did with my CC, but still sent the light. Never heard from him again......

I just ordered a dash kit for a single DIN for my alpine stereo, along with a 6 switch plate from paranoid fab and three switches off OTRATTW. I ended up getting a bluetooth adapter as well as a wiring harness that will connect my steering wheel controls. Im looking to install next weekend or the following week.

Haha so you ended up getting the light for free?

That's cool man, and that's a great shot on the first page of your most recent off-roading!

Yeah, totally free....its was a bizarre situation to say the least.

Thanks, Im pretty sure NYCO took that one, if you haven't seen his build or photography skills, its worth a look.

Well I got the single DIN with steering wheel controls and bluetooth in and working, not I'm just gathering stuff for my switch install. Ive got the switches in, the weather proof bussmann fuse/relay box in, the switch panel is painted and waiting install.

now I'm trying to figure out how to set up the bussmann under the hood. I may go to the local hardware store and pick up a thin sheet of sheet metal and bend it to fit.

Haha well that's awesome that you came up on a free light bar! Woo!!!
Dude his photos and build are siiiiick!! I definitely follow his build! He takes some pretty awesome trips and stuff. When I came through Colorado in September for a couple days, he gave me instructions and tips about Bill Moore Lake Trail. Tons of fun! Wish I lived in CO! Hope to move there some day!
