Hang around here long enough and we will change that.

I got one when I was 18. Totally influenced by Budweisers. I don't really regret it but at the same time I'd just as soon not have it. Luckily it is upper arm and shirts cover it. I see some really attractive girls down around VCU with a whole leg covered in ink. Guess I'm old but I think it takes away from their attractiveness.

Hi, everyone! Love a good thread where you can share your maladies and folks understand..........:D

About to hit the double-nickel in a week or so, had a total hip replacement last year and the other one's due in a year or so. Had 'em pinned in my early teens (injured playing touch football on wet grass of all things) with some time in the Army and lots of dirt bike riding between then and now. Hip problems helped generate L4-L5 disc problems, too. Guess it took a while for all that stuff to wear out....:p

Thank God I live in a time when replacement parts and technology can keep me going....... Oh, and I won't get into the Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy that was my prostate biopsy.......

wonder what they'll think of them in 20 or 30 years :notsure:

    welcome

Did that for years and now the knees are saying NO!!!! Yeah, knee replacement would be better than back surgery

I'm trying... they really aren't that bad yet, but definitely not the way they were even a couple of years ago.

I've been working on machinery for 27 years, up. down on the knees, kinda like church :D so far the back and knees are good but I know a lot of people that suddenly make a bad turn and there goes the knee, hoping I can go another 12 years without that happening.

Sorry for the late reply. I've been zonked on Percocet for the past week. Surgery went well, but was far more invasive then they thought it would be. More obstruction to remove then they had anticipated, so it took longer.

Pain at first was sheer agony. Now, 5 days later, I've had my first shower, eaten a decent meal, and am recovering. I walked a little over a quarter mile a couple days ago, and already up to almost 1/2 mile. Pain meds are no longer maxed out, so I am finally semi-coherent. It's be a least another week before I can resume work, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks for all the well wishes.

I see this a lot more.
I never ask why but sometimes I do ask what it means. And I think they respect that. And most times it's quite detailed in the reasoning.
I have only had one that said " hehe it looks cool ".

Piercings on the other hand are a whole different story....
