Looking at getting a indash double din monitor sometime with Bluetooth and navigation possibly. Also kinda would like one to keep the factory steering wheel controls but that's not a must. Post pics of what you got or what you thinks a good choice. Thanks

Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood all have great features. Just depends on how much $$$ you are willing to drop for the features you want.

I just installed the Pioneer AVH2600BT, I love it so far, I had an older version in my last car and loved it until someone broke in and stole it... (thats another story in its own) It has bluetooth and you can hook up your phone with the appradio also. I have the JBL system and it makes the stock sub and speakers come alive also. Definitely pretty good bang for your buck, I picked it up on Amazon for $237 shipped.

I second the Pioneers. I picked up the 3600BHT I think was the model. The dash kit and receiver came from Amazon and was less than 300 shipped. Easy to install too.

Drawbacks, I plan to put a switch in the dimmer circuit. Great for night use, but if I turn on my lights during the day (rain) the display goes way too dark.

The interface really could use some usage studies. You will need the manual to figure out some functions.

If you have an iphone, BT and music works well. The AppRadio stuff is just BAD. If you really want to control your phone beyond track and basic BT or USB playback, look for something else. Phone and voice controls work well.

HD Radio is awesome. If your area supports it, then splurge for it for sure.

Over the last 30 years I have tried them all and I keep going back to Pioneer. Best features and reliability overall. Second is Alpine, but they don't build them like they used to.

The Roadrover C7069TT autoradio GPS Navigation seems to have everything I want: GPS, backup camera, backup sensors, AM-FM, Bluetooth. But I haven't found any review or feedback from anyone who's actually installed one.

Does anyone here know anything about them?

Chinese company, formed in 2006. Newcomer to the car audio market as opposed to Alpine (1978). I'm guessing this is a knock-off China brand which uses old designs and leftover parts from the major audio makers. Like purchasing an unbranded iPhone or something like that. It may work ok (with a few quirks), but I wouldn't pay a lot for it.

Already have an iPad mini? You can have a setup with steering wheel controls and bluetooth for around $500.

Dude check this one out. Been watching the 2015 units and this one just came out about a month ago. For the price, the features are great! HD radio, Sirius XM ready, dual cam inputs, along with a full 7" screen (More screen space because the disk slot is behind the screen)
    http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/DVD-Receivers/AVH-X5700BHS

Pioneer lists it at $480 but it can be had on Amazon and ebay for about $360.

I'll probably pull the trigger on this unit this weekend.

P.S. No nav on this unit but getting a feature stocked unit w/ nav under $500 might be tough.

Well I make dash trim/ mounting kits for iPad minis in our trucks. You can check out the thread in my signature for more pictures. As for wiring it into the stereo, there's a few ways to go about it. It all depends on what features you want and how much you're willing to spend but I offer plug and play wired kits that include radios and / or all sorts of other components. One cool thing about the 2012+ radios is that if your budget is tight, and you don't plan on changing the factory speakers or amp, you can remove the outer bezel of the radio, move the radio further into the dash on the brackets, and mount the iPad in front of it, plugged I to the factory USB. Then you just keep your radio on the USB source and control the iPad from the screen + steering wheel controls.

One point of caution with double din nav units, make sure that the manufacturer you choose releases periodic navigation updates. In my old Mustang, I had an Alpine double din unit installed in it. Alpine never released a single update for their nav unit in the two years that I owned it. When I purchased my current Mustang, I decided to invest in a higher end Clarion unit for the car. Guess what... to this day Clarion has never released a navigation update for this unit.

While I'm pretty sure that Pioneer and some of the other manufacturers do release periodic updates to their units, my experience with Alpine and Clarion burned me to the point where I find myself leery of installing another in-dash navigation unit. For this reason I simply keep a portable Garmin unit in the Mustang and in my Tacoma. At least with Garmin I know that there will be updates.

I got an Appradio3 for about 240 after rebates. So far I like it for how cheap it was.

They had it an sale at best but for $399. I got an open box which was I believe around $310. I't wasn't working with my phone so I took it back. We then found out that someone had pulled a switcheroo(after looking at the item number) with an old unit. They then got me a brand spanking new one in exchange. I asked for a discount because of my troubles and they said that in all actuality, I had to pay the sale price for a brand new unit. The girl behind the counter did something weird when checking me out and actually gave me money back. She didn't want to deal with redoing the transaction so she gave it to me for that price.
