Yes, I'm using my bedrack 99% of the time. Usually have a tent mounted to it, but currently its just the rack since I sold one of my tents last week too. I'll be throwing a new tent on the bedrack in a couple months so it's ready for the spring.

Looking at new rims. Trying to steer away from solid black. Need a 4" BS or less. 16x8. Found some Mickey Thompson's that I like:

Ya, the fake beadlock is, well, fake but helps break up the black and gold look the truck would have.

    Thoughts? Other options?

I like them. Would have gotten them if I would have found 15's before I bought my current wheels.

Thanks Brent. Still eyeing tires to match up with them too. Probably going to get away from the BFG AT TAs for the first time in 15 years. Thinking Duratracs but still searching for a 305/70R16 that has a good reputation.

In an ongoing search for causes of low mpg, I cleaned the throttle body and took a look in the plenums.

I cleaned the top one briefly while i had it off and decided to leave the lower portion alone.

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
Looks like a bad PCV valve. Proper oil catch can will help prevent this from happening in the future.

eh, it was going to get burst anyways. 4Wheelparts lists them but I've experienced their inventory database enough to know not to trust it.

PCV valve was replaced 8k mi ago. So I believe this could have been prior to that. Do the pictures look like a significant source of build up? I don't have experience with this. I know theoretically a rough surface creates turbulent air flow, but I imagined the difference from these pictures being negligible as far as mpg goes.

I had no idea what to expect and wanted to see for myself in case there was like an 1/8" lining of build up. Are there any detergents that can be sprayed into the intake? I read that lightly spraying water (like from a spray bottle) will into the intake can help clean the engine because steam cleans the cylinders. I know the truck needs to be revved a bit while doing this as to not hydrolock. Is there Something that could clean the plenums like this?

I stopped working at it because it was starting to get dark and this is my DD so I can't really afford the time to tear much down and rebuild. So I only got to rinse out the upper portion of the plenum. There was build up that dirtied the water but nothing stuck out as unbelievable.

I would take the lower manifold off and clean that too. Seafoam maybe worth a try.
