I am sure I am jumping down a rabbit hole here, but I thought I would see what color everyone thinks I should powdercoat my front plate bumper.

My local powder coater is strongly recommending not going with White, he says that if its a little bit off it looks really bad. I have seen trucks with white powder coat that look great (skidooman), but I don't want to chance it. I am not in love with Black either.

I am not going to be wheeling with the bumper, it is strictly for deer protection, so I am not going to have to touch it up much.

My current thinking has me leaning toward a "sand' color, but I still have a while to decide.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
If you want to color match i would take it to a body shop and have it painted.

Leaning toward powder coating because of price and durability. Worried that all the chatted roads I drive in the winter will end up thrashing the paint after a winter or two.

I made the mistake of trusting a powder coater who said that he could match my speedway blue..It looked awful and I ended up paying a different guy to powder coat it satin black. If the color match is not exact it just looks like "oh well we tried"

Color match plate bumpers are tacky ... go black.

I vote black as well. Black goes with everything. Or, go with white, and if you decide it doesn't match right, redo it.

I've seen some really nice grey/silver powder coat parts. Are there any other colors on your truck that you could match?
I use black because it's easy go repaint when I scratch/chip/dent my bumpers.

Black from the Baja graphic is really the only thing to key off of.
