Yeah, I read that you're supposed to start with light weight. Like on bench, around 175 if you max around 300.

Those rogue bars cost as much as my entire set up. Haha

Are they really that much better than the average Olympic bar? Anyone have any insight?

There not that much an econ bar is like 300. I dont like them tho. Rogue ohio bars are the shit, but id take an american barbell bar over rogue any day. And an eliko over both lol

Edit* check out pendlay USA online they have bar and bumper playe packages that are usualy a rad deal and free shipping. Rogue hoses you on shipping

I just say Rogue b/c they are cheap for what they are. Since they are pretty much the supplier to the CF crowd, they've had a lot of money dumped on them to R&D their stuff. There are better bars out there, but you're gonna spend some dough for them. Same thing for plates. Plenty of nice bumper plates out there, but Rogue has some cheap recycled ones.

I would definitely spend a little more on a bar though, instead of picking up one at academy or something. If you've never used a good bar, you'll immediately feel the difference.

unless you are dealing with 400+ weight wise any oly bar will work, it's when you go heavy these cheap bars have too much whip, good for deadlift tho.

6 egg sandwich with mayo with a side of eggs. The secret is to cover a plate in hot sauce and dip the bread in it.

In Crossfit, there are no winners.

I'm starting GVT today. Gonna do chest and back after lunch. Of all the workouts I've ever done, I had the best results from the 4 day upper/lower split. I recommend that everyone try it, at least for 8-9 weeks. My bench went from 285 to 315 in 7 weeks, so there's proof that it works, right there lol. Anyway, it's time to change it up and I think GVT is gonna be da shit. Here's today's workout:

Super set 1: (90 second rest between each exercise)

decline dumbbell bench press: 10 sets of 10 (4 seconds down, 2 seconds up aka 4 0 2 0 tempo)
    chin ups: 10 sets of 10 (4 0 2 0 tempo)

Super set 2: (60 second rest between each exercise)

    incline dumbbell flys: 3 sets of 10-12 (3 seconds down, 2 seconds up aka 3 0 2 0 tempo)
    one-arm dumbbell row: 3 sets of 10-12 (3 0 2 0 tempo)
