What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I've read others on TTORA have pieced together from used parts. Personally, I would find a used one in working condition and rebuild the best parts. 1k seems like a bit much to me to spend. Although, tough to beat warranty on new parts.
Tough day for you man, hope it all gets sorted. If you do rebuild, it would be nice to see a rebuild thread.

So when you ordered that, say 330 shipped, you then have to buy dies correct? Or does 1 come with it?

 

According to the ebay listing It does not come with dies or a stand.

Started on the on board air setup. Started with the compressor mount on the passenger side engine compartment, built a frame for the (2) 2.5 gallon tanks, installed the Firestone airbags with Daystar lower cradles, and got some of the plumbing done. Will finish it up and do a complete write up in the next couple weeks when I get the manifold/solenoid valve from Ridetech, a digital gauge that will show each air bag's pressure independently and the air tank pressure, and finally some new switches from OTRATTW.

I feel your pain.. But when I hear some of these guys talk about how much money in debt they have on credit cards for truck parts I feel a little better.

My truck is not fancy but all I have is a house payment

 

Me too. 2008 was an important lesson for me and my family.

 

I was only 19 and had a really good job with no bills and still lived at home so didn't have to deal with all that crap... But I hate debt and stress about it.. Only reason I even got a credit card is cause having 0 credit was worse then having tons of debt..

 

Cash is king! It is definitely better to be patient or spend less then to put yourself into a hole for something that is not that important.

 

Lol I add up the cost of my parts list every week knowing I have the cash to do it... Just can't drop 3k for the hell of it... I buy stuff mostly from Amazon with my Cc points (we pay all our bills with credit and pay it off each month)

My LEDs , progressive aal, 5100s, toytec coils and a lot more were all free lol.. Well kinda free spent a lot for it to be free

 

Yesterday, I switched to my winter tires and added N-Fab steps. Recently, I also added an '09 lower dash panel and installed heated seats and a usb charger/port. Then added a 12v socket to the back of the centre console.

I think this everyday... There are so many things I want to add or do to my truck but money dictates I wait and deal with what I have. I love my truck but there's always that feeling of wanting to mod more! Especially being on this site.
