is it possible that if my truck is somehow stuck in 4x4 neutral and that could be the reasoning that im not getting any movement in 2x4 and 4x4 low. Would that lock out 2wd if it was somehow stuck in 4x4 neutral

Just something to try. Last winter my transfer case got stuck and I couldn't get it to go back into 2WD. I orbited a parking lot about 20 times playing with it until I realized that there is an electronic switch which is activated when the clutch is fully depressed, allowing the TC to be shifted. I removed my floormat, depressed the clutch to the floor and all was good in the world once more. Good luck.

that electronic switch is nothing more then a safety switch that does not let you start the truck unless the clutch is all the way to the floor

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
He has a first gen which is manually operated.

To the OP, yes if the transfer case is in neutral you will not have any movement. Shift it into 2HI and leave it there for 2wd.
