Started working on my add a leaf and rear bilstein install this afternoon. I feel like I've read and/or heard somewhere that you shouldn't reuse the u-bolts, is there any truth to this?

Most people say not to reuse them because they say they stretch but considering how loose the factory sets I think its fine. I have reused them and never had any problems.

I agree with Rob, people say don't reuse them but by that logic, you shouldn't reuse wheel studs either...
That's nothing new, we've been saying they're grocery getters for years now, you just never listened :D Now, aren't you late for a PTA meeting or soccer practice?

    Vegas Vacation.
    And no thanks.

Feel like I've been kicked in the nuts this weekend anyway. Spent all day Saturday chasing deer that ran in the wrong direction EVERY TIME. We were hunting a preserve that restricts you to shotguns only, and no slugs. So we kept having deer run by whoever was on stand, and they were out of range every time. Never saw the hunter they were running past, they just had charmed lives. So that was a frustrating Saturday. I walked 21.6 miles, according to the pedometer I wear when I'm hunting. Bah.
And then yesterday we took the Dodge over the the GF's parent's camp and picked up the kayaks to put them away for the winter. Her parents were there so we hung out with them for a while by the campfire and helped do some fall cleanup around the waterfront. By the time we left it was dark, and on our way home either the Alternator or the Voltage Regulator crapped out on us. The headlights kept getting dimmer and dimmer, and we decided to head for a friend's house who lives close by. Good thing, too, because by the time we limped into their yard I had shut the headlights off and was using the single AAA flashlight I keep in my pocket to see where we were going. The battery was so drained that the engine started misfiring when we started up their driveway, haha!
So tonight after work I've got to stop at the parts store and get a new VR and Alternator. The only upside is that the Alternator is $44 and the VR is $17, so it'll be a fairly cheap fix. But it's still a pain in the ass.

For a Dodge, it sounds like it's operating as designed :D

Get back to me with what repairs your trucks need when they're 30 years old :stirthepot:

Shrug. Alternators fail on pretty much everything eventually. The total repair cost for this should be well under $100 and take me about an hour.
