I've got 0.5 inch difference in the front and a full 1 inch difference in the rear side to side. Do you think my front shocks were installed on the wrong side? It seems as though there is a difference in the bottom plate height but that could just be how they put on the stickers??

Anybody want to purchase a baja kit I've got 20,000 miles on my 13'taco baja . I want a 6'' lift to compensate. Although the baja does ride very nice. Just wanna go big.

Does anyone know or have the ability to finding how big the bottom bushings are on the front coilovers for the Baja. I need to replace mine. I think all the armor put too much stress on them.

Finally got around to getting my AAL put in. So much better now! I like the stock rake look and the truck looks like what a stock Baja (suspension wise anyway) truck should look like!

    No AAL:

    With Wheelers progressive HD AAL:

I measured and I have from center of wheel hub to under fender 25inches on the passenger side and 24inches on the drivers side.

I can't remember what the distance was stock but?

I'm still wondering if my shocks were installed on the wrong side as I still have the 1" lean in the back...

    Cheers,

    Jay

So is the consensus that this kit is no longer available? Toyota of Dallas still lists it.

Honestly completely lost as to what to do with my baja,
I mean can you through extended lower control arms on this kit
And have them work better? Or would that completely be a waste?
I kinda really like the stanceof the extended control arms with 33s

I haven't seen it in a while. I think I read on here that Bilstein was supposed to be releasing a similar setup.

just spoke with trdshop.com...they will be getting trd pro suspensions in stock very soon...the rep I spoke with said he thought it was the same as the baja kit but apparently Toyota told him the trd pro kit is "valved different"...wait and see!

Supposedly they played with the spring rate and valving more with the TRD Pro. Also I've visually confirmed that fluid line on the rear shocks going to the remote reservoirs is insulated in what looks like heat shrink tubing.

I checked on the PTR13-35120 kit today at the dealer and there is a "stop sale" on it. You can only get replacement parts. I wonder if this is because they are changing out to the new "Pro" setup? I've read where the Baja kit was hard to get to begin with though. I'd be interested to see if they do put it out for sale.

shoptrd rep said the trd pro suspension part number is # PTR13-35150. Apparently it will be up on the site soon and they got the baja kit still in stock! not sure which kit to get....is the trd pro kit better on washboard/gravel roads? Reading through the thread sounds like the baja kit is already pretty good...

From all of the tech and review articles I have read all the testers feel the Pro suspension is an improvement over the Baja. Mainly in that it is not so stiff on road and handled as well or better off road. The front Struts have a softer spring rate than was used on the Baja. The rears are stock TRD OR springs with the remote res shocks (added travel is gained due to a longer shaft in the remotes that allows for additional droop). Supposedly the valving was also changed in the shocks though I have never seen any real written proof of this. I have driven both the Baja and TRD Pro on the street and there is a noticeable difference between the two. The Pro was less harsh than the Baja...with the Baja you really felt every expansion joint on a concrete freeway....not so with the Pro. Travel wise both suspensions are basically the same...simply a matter of spring rate and valving. If you are going to be adding weight up front like a big bumper / winch etc. the Baja might be better due to the stiffer springs. If leaving the front end alone, go with the Pro setup.

Thanks. Does the pro provide a little lift like the baja?
