Oh, my. Stolen right when you're sleeping.

Another thought. I'd assume the thieves can be reading this thread too. Nowadays, everyone knows to look on the popular forums and cyber stalk. If this person knew to enter a hotel room, locate a specific truck in a huge hotel lot, and brazenly drive away, he's GOT to know to look on the forums.

    Yikes.

In Vegas and I'll keep an eye out.

As some other posters suggested, I bet it was an inside job in the sense that it was probably an employee or someone that knows an employee with a master key. Only been here a couple years and I've heard WAY too many stories about stuff like this. Makes me paranoid to leave my truck in those plentiful strip garages. :/

Well if there is any lesson, everyone get a Geotrack or LoJack. I have considered this before as I normally drive into the scummy parts of NJ. I will probably get one installed now. Not sure what the price is on an install and if there is a monthly fee. Anyone know?

Also, my take on this super shitty situation is that considering you have a nice truck. These scumbags may have watched you park and followed you to your room. So they only had to hit one. Think about it, you got a sweet ride, they are gonna hunt down what room your in, get in and get out. Have them look at security cams to see if you got a tail from when you parked to when you checked in.

Guy i know had his phone "stolen" from his room while in vegas while he was "asleep". His wife was pissed when the hooker they had in the room called her asking to pay the bill they ran up, he was the only one that was married. The hooker took all of their phones, keys and went joyriding in their rental car.

Not that this is what happened to you just made me think of that episode, i think vegas sux.

Sorry about your truck and briefcase, Sema cool at least?!

Any word on the stolen truck yet? I have to wonder what the true and accurate story is? The casino KNOWS who rides EVERY elevator inside and out, and what time every room key is swiped...

A cheaper option is to add a cheap cell phone to your plan, and then bury the phone under your dash somewhere. If the truck goes missing, you can use something like Verizon Family locator to find it
    https://wbillpay.verizonwireless.co...oductDetails.action?productName=familylocator
LoJack is good, but only the police have access to their info. What's the sense of paying all that money and then waiting to see if the police can get the info quick enough to save the truck? I've heard of parents who use the cell phone method to keep track of their kids ;)

This, and not all police departments have LoJack tracking capabilities.

Hard wire the phone to an accessory on circuit. The easy way is to tap a power wire off the radio and tuck the cellphone behind the head unit. You should be high enough in the dash to still get GPS and/or cell signal. If you don't want to do that, get a plastic box and mount it under the hood. Even if the thieves cut all battery power, you still have a day's worth of juice in the cell phone.

The fun part would be to link the cellphone to the car radio, and then call the thieves after you have GPS tracked the vehicle. "Hi, the cops should be 5 seconds away. Have a nice incarceration, give my best to Bubba".

I went to college with a former Army dog trainer. He had this heavily modified 4 wheel drive pickup that he never locked when at school. He just left his pet Doberman in the truck with all the windows down and water in the back. I always knew where to find parking, the spaces on either side were usually empty:D

I like this idea just need the dough.

    Nice

I don't care if you are Chip Foose, Carol Shelby, or xzibit, no one touches my truck. All I need to hear is "yo dawg, we put a PS2 in your dash so you can play video games while you drive"
