    Yesterday i was turning on my truck and the battery exploded and put 2 dent in my hood and a fat chip in the paint. and i had just finished making her perfect. has this happened to anyone else?

    oh yeah, right here, back in the day when I had my first car (83' V8 4barrel Holly Carb, 5 speed, GT MUSTANG):rolleyes:...with the hood open my battery ALMOST blew up in my face :eek: and acid spilled over the sides and ruined the paint an. My ears rang for about two hrs. after that...gees

    yea i try to get some up. umm you think they would pay for it? i forget the name of the batter but i know it was pretty old it came with the truck like 3 and half years ago

    That sucks...

    Keeping the battery clean usaly help to prevent this.
    But i have no idea what happen in your case....

    I have seen 30 battery explode in 25 years of working on car.....

    But non on my cars

    Good point. I suppose there are some people that were born with fumbly fingers - like my wife. She drops, knocks over and breaks EVERYTHING SHE TOUCHES.
