Those of you getting steel front bumpers, Before taking it to powdercoat, I would drill a small hole in the side to let water out. Mine holds quite a bit of water and has rusted and is flaking pretty bad. It might also be because the powdercoater had a hard time getting the gun into this space. Not sure if Tyler changed the design to allow water to drain out tho. Not a concern for those living in the desert, but it rains pretty good here and this spot catches a lot of water and mud.

I sent Tyler a pic of that area, they should have made a revision months ago to have a drain cut-out included.

you gotta pull your bumper off to clean it up?

We have made that change but we had a pretty good size run of that particular part done so we are just now adding that to the current runs.
Thank you for posting this, that is great advise to drill prior to install and or coating.

Damn that's pretty bad . If cant knock off rust scales hard to stop the rust .Hope theres room to work on it .At work we need to needle gun the scales or it just gets worse. Seeing the work you do I know you you got it under control.

Thinking about wire wheel/needle gun whatever will get in there better, then paint and fill with epoxy or silicone so it won't hold water or mud. Even with the tiny bleed hole I drilled, it could easily get clogged. And would still hold thick mud.
