I would drive it right back into the dealership. They need to make it right. If they were quiet before the new frame, then they need to make it right!

    Who did your work?

After my truck has now been almost a month at my local (Connecticut) Toyota dealer, I checked on how the frame replacement schedule looked. They extended their initial estimate to get the frame in from six to eight weeks to three to four months. That's a long time to be without my truck. Not at all happy.

3-4 months is very disheartening. My truck has been at my local dealer for 5 weeks now, I guess I should call and see if my truck is going to be delayed as well.

Add my 2007 Double cab 4x4 to the list of those awaiting new frames. 45,000 miles in NJ was too much for my frame to handle.

I once had a 1983 Toyota that went to the junk yard with a perforated frame….. The more things change the more they remain the same.

Sullivan Bros in Kingston, Ma. They were great to deal with so I'm sure they will take care of it .. I have to get an oil change next week so I will ask them to look at it. It can't be any big deal so if they don't want to fix it I will...

I split my time between Ak and Ut, two states where it's plenty cold and they use plenty of salt on the roads. Bummer they didn't include us. I have frame rust, but haven't found any holes. Hopefully she holds up

Got a service campaign letter on mine a couple weeks ago , need to get an appointment . Just for giggles , went into Toyota Owners site today and logged in - that campaign now shows up , along with a NEW one !

Safety Recall E02 (E12) Preliminary Notification - Certain 2005-2011 Model Year Tacoma Pre-Runner and 4x4 Vehicles Rear Leaf Spring

Remedy not available - Toyota is currently preparing the remedy for this situation

    Dealer Reference ID - E12
    NHTSA Reference ID - 14V604

    Description -
The subject vehicles’ rear suspension system contains leaf springs that are constructed of either three or four leaves. There is a possibility that a leaf could fracture due to stress and corrosion. If this occurs and the vehicle continues to be operated, the broken leaf could move out of position and contact surrounding components, including the fuel tank.

Hmm , wonder if they'll actually do something about it now ??

The spring issue has been discussed here in other threads. The current consensus is that Toyota will add a clamp around strap to the spring(s) (not leaning towards changing the springs).

Called the dealership last night to see if they had any update or time estimate on completion. Its been 6 weeks they originally told me 6-8 weeks.

I got told that all frames were on national back order and they said it was going to be a additional 10-12 weeks !

Needless to say I am not happy at all. The Rav4 certainly isnt going to tow my new snowmobile either

yeah, I took my truck in end of sept/beginning of oct. I was told they were expecting the frame to be in october 17-20th. That date came and went. Now after reading everyone elses responses, I think I am in for a long wait.

Had my 2008 DCSB for inspection.
They let me look under it and I was pleasantly surprised how good it appeared.

 I was almost disappointed with visions of a new frame dancing in my head.

Mine finally popped up .... My frame actually looks pretty good, so I would expect to get a spray.

After looking at some of the photos on here - there's no 'neatness' in the spraying method and they make one god awful mess under there.

Not looking forward to seeing a 'pray & spray' under my truck.

I have to get some spark plugs (at Toyota) today or tomorrow...I'll probably ask them about this.
