    tonneau,
My neighbor bought a new canyon a couple weeks back, he doesn't say much but he doesn't seem to impressed with it. He traded in a older style canyon with the v8 which was a nice truck. Think he has buyers remorse

Anybody think the 2016 Tacoma will be as nice as these trucks? I mean really, the trucks we all have now get worst gas mileage than most American full size trucks. And not to mention. almost a 100 less hp!!!

12 OR DCSB 4x4 265/75/16 Goodyear Ultra Terrain wrapped on MB352's. OME 886's w/5100's front and back, and Dakars. Derped Emblems. KM Fab sliders, Mobtown Front and back bumpers w/tire gate, KM Fab Bed Rack, Bestop Supertop, Matt Gecko bed lights. Tree Smashed Taco 06 OR AC Prerunner! OME 885 with 5100's in front, TSB and AAL with 5125's in back. 30" light bar in the valance.
Word on the street is that the 2016 Tacoma will be way better than the new gen Colorado/Canyon. Oh and by the way, it already is better. Aged to perfection.

Saw one on the street the other day in that burnt orange color it's not some thing I would run to the dealer and buy. I would have to keep it in the garage and only take it out at night.

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
GM makes things "look" nice. Not actually good quality.
I've had my Tacoma since November 2005 and it's in better condition now than my Colorado was after 18 months.
Low grade plastics and thin metal. Doubt they changed that. Just hiding it better with cosmetically appealing textures and colors.

The angled cuts of a high clearance bumper aren't aerodynamic at all, so you'd need a full cover. Probably made of fiberglass or a polymer to keep the weight down. Both materials are fairly delicate so, just like painted hardtop jeep covers, you'd have to be careful not to scratch it every time you took it off and on. Since it'd be something from the aftermarket I doubt it would be wind tunnel tested so I doubt you'd see a good increase in mileage or even a return to stock mileage.

Plus I think it would it look a bit goofy having this huge plastic cover dangling down to a few inches off the pavement on you're lifted truck.

BTW Someone on here put up that the Colorado's air dam is attached by nearly 50 screws, not 6 like on the Silverado. If this is true then it's a considerable hassle to take the damn thing off and wouldn't you be wondering why they needed 50ish screws to attach some plastic if it's not a structural part of the front face of the truck?

I guess I wish Toyota would make things look nicer then. (Like better interior lighting and wood trim) To make it more classy.

Doesn't make it run one bit better or longer.

Because nothing screams class like plastic painted to look like wood  I'd take heated leather seats and mirrors over fake wood.

Hahaha! True, but I don't think the Tacoma leather is real leather. More like a vinyl material?

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Upgrade to an Avalon or Lexus if you want woodgrain in a Toyota. Personally, I like the spartan characteristics of the Tacoma. Making them all fancy inside would be a downgrade to the truck's character I think.

As far as this new Colorado goes, it will probably be just another recalled GM piece of shit in a few months just like the old one. I am sticking with Toyota, nobody builds a compact truck as good as Toyota does, Toyota set the standard for small trucks after all. It is the truck all other competitors are measured by, they try to copy it, but fail lol.

At least it'll end up getting the heated side mirrors, heated and cooling seats, and the diesel everyone TW has been demanding since the end of the 20th century. :D
