It is. As long as the seam is on the inside of the bend, it's no big deal. I used the same stuff for my first bumper build.

But yeah... some local guy asked me to make a prerunner style bumper. I need the monies.

Not much done with the truck. Been cleaning up the engine parts and I think I'm gonna try a DIY port/polish soon. Still undecided if I'm gonna throw it back together stock for now or start modding the shit out of it. :notsure:

Got some really great advice from Jon tonight. I have to sell my nuts to build the truck.

How'd you go about cutting up your bed skins? Mark and I just hacked away at the inner bed so we have the skin and the inside section... That's all we got done with them, now one piece is in his shed and the other is outside his shed haha

Not sure what you mean? I can get pics if you want. There's the bed bob and then I simply cut about 6" off the end where it meets the cab and added/capped then end with some sheet metal for rigidity.

Did you just use an angle grinder to cut the inside section of the bed away from the skin? That's all I'm really asking.

Ah, I drilled out the spot welds along the lip of the bed rail IIRC.

I made a nice score today. I think. :anonymous:

A metric shit-ton of nice screws (about 80-90% allen head cap screws in a wide array of sizes while the rest is various set, flat, and button socket screws and dowel pins.) I'm assuming it was all from a machine shop going out of business or something. It might be a stretch, but I'm guessing there's gotta be several hundred bucks worth of stuff here (If I bought this crap in a store). I only paid $70 for all of it.

Problem is... I don't know WTF I'm going to use them for. The majority are boxed under a "Brighton Best" brand.
If I'm understanding this correctly, these are stronger than grade 8 bolts?

That's the brand we usually get from McMaster Carr, not really sure of the grade as that's usually not a concern, but well worth the $70 if use em.
