And a frosty good morning to you! We had the first hard freeze of the year last night.

We may not recognize it when we look at a vet, but I truly believe that everyone that went paid a price. Physical, emotional, or monetary the price was paid. Some left good paying jobs for less than $100 a month and long lasting debt, OSHA was not overseeing the work place, spouses left behind cheated, and in many instances the public was not very accepting of where we had been or what we had been doing.

X Whatever number. Definitely RIP to those who paid the Ultimate Price. A walk through Arlington National Cemetery really gets your attention.

I just got back from my last parade in uniform. I take it off next summer when I retire at age 60 with 38 years in the RCAF

I try to make it to the Cemetery during the season as well. I have 3 uncles and a very good friend there. My sister's father in law is there as well.

It's a bit nippy out this morning, so a frost good morning to all.

I packed a 40 some year old photo into work for veteran's day. It was the pic the army took when I got to Korea. It was the first time I really looked at it. Other than gray hair and a little wear on the face from working in the sun, I look the same. I could probably wear the same clothes. I hung the picture by the register.

I was US for those that know what that means. I had been married 18 months when the notice came. I was gone for most of the next 18 months.

The body has not changed much, but the wear and tear on the old psyche has been tremendous.

    Morning Ken ... And Dave.

It's unusually warm and still not enough snow to mention. But I'm not complaining. ;)

    Good Morning Mike.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice. I salute you.

I'll show my "junior" side here. What exactly does "US" mean in this context?

RA was regular army, US was drafted. These were prefixes to your service number.
