Does that RAM 1500 get anywhere near 28MPG? Even if it gets less than that, it gets better than the 4L 4WD Tacoma I guess.

I am in full size truck country, hardly anyone has a Nissan or Tacoma. People always say your mileage must be good. And I have to tell them how shitty it is.

My daily driving gets me high 19s pretty consistently in the summer. Low 17s the past few tanks. I typically have 3 stops in an 8 mile drive. 40-50 MPH most of the way.

Highway gets me 14-15 if I do anything above 70 and there are any hills. If it's slower flat highway I can sometimes get almost 21 out of it. Very rare, though.

Don't know about pure city. I try to stay as far away from stop and go traffic as possible.

Average 17 in town and on interstate with an average speed of 75mph. If I keep the speeds low, then it jumps up to 18-19. NEVER have I seen 20. I accelerate slow, and just go with the flow of traffic.

Gas light usually comes on right at 300 miles.

I did it again. Got tired of paying truck payments and gas and traded in for a 2015 Honda Accord Sport since I enjoyed my 2013 Sport so much.
I'm pretty sure I've replied to this thread several times over the years...but at any rate with mostly city driving, I'm getting just a bit over 16mpg, mostly city. I guess that's fine as it IS what is advertised.

I WILL say that lately my mpg has been getting better. A bit over 9000 miles on the truck.

And I do use 91/93 octane fuel where available.

    Fuelly over the last 6 months (6000 miles) is average 20.1, 1 tank 23, 1 tank 16.9.
50% highway/interstate in rolling hills. Around town is no heavy traffic/no bumper to bumper.
About 19 around town, 21 on the road - based on odometer-calibrated ScanGauge.

2.7 L 4x4 Reg Cab. 18-19 around town... 21 - 22 highway. Surprisingly consistent with the window sticker actually. First vehicle I've had that was. I was surprised to semi-regularly *exceed* the highway mileage stated by the sticker. I drive like a grandma though. :)

little north of 17 avg. I gradually dipped as the mods came, especially tires and front plate and this is mostly highway daily....

It's a damn shame that a trucklet such as this one (yes, a trucklet--it weighs 4200 lbs and has 236hp, max towing 6400lbs) is only getting me 15mpg. I recently had a Hemi Ram rental for a day, and in the identical driving environment, got 16.5 in a 5500lbs, 390hp truck.

Toyota needs to get their act together. Unless something changes, no more Tacomas for me...

    4L with the manual

Got it up to 17MPG on the weekend with a 140 mile highway round trip.

When running back and forth to work I try to get it around 14, but it tends to sit between 13 and 13.5.

2014 supercharged v6 with ~4,250 miles on it so far using 91 in CA, I'm averaging around 16.5mi/gal the last 4 fill ups. I only get on the gas when getting on the on-ramp if traffic is actually moving. Mileage calculated from gas cubby app on my iPhone (I enter mileage and fill up information each time).

Note: I sit in 2+ hours of stop and go traffic daily so while its highway mileage, I'm just sitting there staring at brake lights a lot of the time.

yeah, tell me about it since 880/237 in the bay area sucks and rent is $$$ closer to work.

Looking at your handle makes me miss my wrx that I traded in for the taco.
