For the Allpro rear leafs, should I get the regular leafs or the expos? I carry some loads in the bed, never over 500 pounds, maybe once every one or two weeks. I just want to know if I really need to get the expos or if I can get away with using the regular one?

Sounds like regular would be fine. I put 500 lbs in my bed without a problem and im just using a 3 leaf AAL.

Expos are for carrying a heavy load all the time, bed cover, rear bumper with tire mount, expedition rack with tent etc, etc. I run the standard set, if you are occasionally hauling loads they will be more than you ever need. They are really nice btw. Great ride and flex, but still have more than enough back bone. My guess is you won't be happy with the ride if you go with the expos and are running empty.

The previous owner of my truck installed the Expo's, and I hardly ever have anything in the bed. I have to say it is a pretty rough ride, if I had the choice I would go with the regulars.

I can't give you an honest answer on that one man, I have no experience with the Dakars. A lot of guys run them and like them as well.

Standard Leaf Pack FTW! Especially if the load you are carrying once every few weeks is less than 500lbs.

What about a leer top? Too light still?

Yeah you would be fine with the standard pack if you were only running a Leer top. If you plan on hauling a lot of gear under it frequently, then I would consider the expo pack. The gentleman that posted before you is the one you want to talk with. Ryan is a great guy and can answer all your questions. Give him a call.
