    Well fellers.....

    After 13yrs....Monday is the day.

I filed a few weeks ago after 2 months of moving her out, splitting all of our stuff, and hashing out the child support and everything else.

I still don't have any furniture except for an air mattress and a bean bag chair LOL....I did buy a whole house full of furniture Friday after we split the bank accounts....waiting for delivery.

We still talk...sometimes friendly....sometimes not so friendly.....but for the most part.....it's good....she still has her moments.

Still not used to living alone....I've been seeing a woman...another thread on here about that....we're hitting it off pretty good....I stay with her once in a while......she's going to Cancun with me :D I've posted a few pics on TW Live of her.....she's really a blast!

I followed alot of folks advice on here.....LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO LIVE UNHAPPY!

Thanks to those that beat that into my head :) I really am happier and people actually comment on it.

I think Monday will still be an emotional day.....I mean it was 13yrs...we have a 10yr old son together....and we did have some great times.

    Time will tell........

Good luck man. Stay strong take it in stride. The main thing is that you care for your son and find some happiness for yourself in the process. Take care.

coming from a divorced family.... it was rough for me... but that was because my dad was not being very good. i wont mention the things he would do but lets just say my mom was close to taking me for good. make it as easy for your son as possible. do things with him so he doesnt think about whats going on. thats a difficult part of their life. it was for me.... i know that for a fact. make sure your son knows he can talk to you about anything. my dad def. did not do that for me. he says i could have now but at the time, i felt if i talked to him id get in trouble or hed say something really shitty.
congrats on the new lady. good luck with the divorce.

Better to live apart content than together in anger.

Just make sure that your child doesn't see any malice directed towards either parent from either parent. (I hope that made sense, the Gin is taking hold...)

13 years is a long time but it seems like its for the best. as far as the living situation i'm sure you'll adapt in just a few weeks. every time my living situation changes i'm weirded out for about a month then i get use to it and get upset if it changes again. my room mate is on assignment for a year at a time so when he goes its an adjustment. then when he comes back i feel like i have no privacy. then i get use to it. then when he leaves its weird living alone again. but each time it just takes about a week to adjust. right now i live alone and hate the idea of having anyone live with me
