I did a Soddard wells shake down today to test out my fresh installed rear bumps. Other than going solo like a cholo it was a blast and didn't break anything

 

Very nice.

 

Didn't find the problem because I haven't taken the motor apart yet.

But I bought a motor today, 50k miles off an 09 that's still running. Got hit in the bed, driver side. They're delivering tomorrow, and my motor should be out tomorrow night.

 

I need chuy to stop lagging on that engine lol...I wanna be as cool as Christian with his suppppaaaaa charger

Yea it's suppose to be the same year or newer...the engine I got is from an 07...so I'm in the same. I want to run headers so I'll have to go to pass smog illegally anyways

 

I wanna get the URD headers but the coil bucket gussets won't let them sit correctly.

 

Oh. There's where all that missing oil went. Right into the intake plenum.

 

I've never overheated the motor. It's gotten very hot going up long hills in the summer but that's really it.

That was a one time ordeal. 35s loaded down on stock gears with AC on in the summer going up a long Hill and I glanced down at the Guage and let it cool down. It'll get there quick with that load. I normally run at 205F. I didn't blow a head gasket. No milky oil, no brown coolant. Been through that once in my Mustang so I know what it's like. This was caused by something else.

 

The shock lower mounting point... is it a uniball? This is from a set of 2.5 Icon COs and this part clearly needs replacing. Rust is pouring out of the joint and there is lots of free play. Anyone know
A: Where can i find this part?
B: Is this part shock or vehicle specific?
C: Are they easily replaceable diy?

 

It is a uniball with misalignment spacers in both ends. Grab some pliers and yank them out, they're probably just rusted on there. Then you have just the uniball that needs to be pressed out and press the new one in, reinstall misalignment spacers and you're done.

Icon sells them for $16 each I think.
