    Hi folks,
I hope there's someone who can help me installing my new radio, it's an Alpine INE-W957HD with the TATO Wiring Harness and Maestro RR system for the steering and gauges control. I have the JBL system which I'm going to keep.

I have no idea where to connect the following cables:

    On the AMP side:
    1. Violet Mute (PIN7 - R1)
    2. Beige TX+ (PIN5 - R1)
    3. Red/white TX- (PIN15 - R1)
    3. White IVO+ (PIN11 - R3)
    4. Black IVO- (PIN12 - R3)
    5. Black Shielded SLD1 (PIN13 - R3)

    From the radio:
    1. Blue/White (Remote Turn On)

I'll be really pleased if you could help me with that.

This is a plug n play kit. Did you cut off the stock plug off the wiring and now have to manually wire it? This should be as simple as plug it all in and go. Then you just need to splice some wires for the steering wheel controls.

Or are you talking about the wires from the Kenwood that attach to the TATO?

Yeah, that kit makes easy to connect power and audio, but I would like to keep my factory MIC, camera and aux and USB inputs, so I need to know how to wire them, as the TATO kit does not include harnesses for them.

I also need to know if it's possible dim the radio illumination along with the rest of the dash.

And finally I need to know if it's mandatory to connect the parking brake and foot brake wires to make the radio setup work.

Park break is normally to play DVD's. If you want to play movies while in motion look up park break bypass for head units. People sell a relay prewired for around 10$ on ebay.

I'll take a look at both of the manuals tonight when I get off work and see if I can locate the wires. I know when I added the steering wheel controls to another truck I ended up tapping into the stock wiring harness. What I could suggest is locate those wires on the stock, plug in the harness and see what wires match up and go from there.

    Edit:

Your camera is in the rearview mirror right? This shouldn't be effected by the install if this is the case.

Yes it's is, but I installed the interface to make it work also on the radio.

The problem is that the manual of the new radio explains a procedure with the parking brake and brake pedal in order to go into the setup of the unit
