I think he is talking about Sprint's landline business which is separate from Sprint Wireless/PCS.

Level3 dropping the ball? Say it ain't so! Remember last year when their DNS servers got DDoS and it basically took them down for the count for over 12 hours. Can't imagine the SLAs that were paid out for that one.

On another note having a gigabit connection to my computer at work rocks :D

Nope, cell phone side of sprint. They do it so they don't pay what was Qwest, and now CenturyLink. Sprint doesn't have lines here in the metro area. Well, at least that was 10 to 15 years ago. My dad was an RF engineer for Sprint.

Our old developer we fired last year sent us all their old equipment back. I just got around to checking the iPads. 32 of the 40 they sent back are locked out with the 'Find my Phone'.

Dev company went under so we can't contact them. Talked to our Apple rep, without proof of purchase these iPads are locked and can never be used again.

I have 32, iPad4, 64gig models just sitting here, that will never again work due to someone using find my phone and we can't locate them to remove the devices off their account.

My god why do people buy Apple products again?

Sorry to hear of the debacle, but if it were your iPad and it had your gear, files, private data, I think you would be looking at it a tad different? Don't you?

Your company has to have proof of something to show you all got the iPads. THINK MAN! THINK!
Find the name of the IT team. Get names. You can find someone. They didn't just disappear.
Info and people, especially IT people and DEVs don't vanish.

I have done IT, WEB Dev, graphics for 25+ years and I have stuff from eons ago.

I am sure if you dig deeper you can ALWAYS find a solution...

No I wouldn't look at it differently. I've not lost a phone, tablet, laptop, etc before. If I did, I use other software that allows me to wipe my iPad.

With Apple, you loose your receipt and forget your password, your fucked.

Also, there is no digging deeper. I do development for Android and iOS and we spoke to our Apple rep. Our rep knows everything that can be done and isn't a person at the 'genius bar'.

Long story short, without a receipt there is NOTHING that can be done.

For a personal iPad, sure. But for us, who is a business partner with Apple, this is bullshit.

These. I have it, they are great, lots of bass if you want it. They are a bit flat but you can EQ that out.

Yes. I've tried everything possible, so did our rep at Apple. They did a good job locking it down.

It has a 3.5mm (Female) input as well as the 3.4mm (male) that goes into the PC.

If you want to hear them swing by sometime and you can try before you buy. I'll show you what they sound like with and without the EQ so you can determine if the SQ is ok for you.

That's what I enjoy about find my xxxx... I have had to use it on 2 friends and we actually drove to the house and forced theie parents to make their kid that stole the iPhone (pickpocket at the grocery store) give it back. I accidentally left my iPad on the plane (one of the many 170 flights a year) and was able to get it back in lost and found amazing.

I also enjoy the wipe device after 10 failed logins.. Totally cool feature.

Just like car head units with passcodes.. it stopped the stealing of stock car stereos unlike in the past.

Apple products are consumer products... not corporate products like the Cisco devices.

    How about ... http://www.12newsnow.com/story/2735...ios-702-ios-703-ios-704-ios-71-ios-712-ios-80

Tell that to Apple. They have their balls so deep in the education world right now, which gets treated just like corporate products.

As for the unlock site, scam. Either you have to 'donate' which I was never able to get to the .exe. IF you can get .exe to download you have to connect to their VPN servers. That's scary to connect to someones VPN that you don't trust.
