    Thanks!

No modifications whatsoever to use the TRD center caps on the Level 8 wheels. The Level 8 center caps pop right out with a light hit of the backside of the hammer. The TRD caps clip right in with a slight push. It's like they were made for these wheels!

    Thanks!

I got a great deal on the wheels and tires. Tires were from DTD and after the eBay discount and the rebate they were $384 shipped. Wheels were also from DTD and after all discounts were $450 shipped including lug nuts. Center caps were $56 from Amazon and mount/balance was $80 from Tire Kingdom. All together, I spent around $974ish to get the full setup on the truck ready to drive.

I'm very happy with the setup! Rides a little rougher but looks a thousand percent better in my opinion. The extra inch of lift makes a big difference in appearance.

Wheels are Level 8 MK6 rims. Color is gunmetal. Size is 16X8. Bolt pattern is 6-139.70. Offset is 0.

The center caps make the wheels look 25435% better in my opinion. They look like Toyota wheels the caps installed.

    Tires: http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-NEW-P265-75-16-COOPER-DISCOVERER-ATP-75R-R16-TIRES-/360885280575
    $544 (Total) - $100 (eBay disocunt) - $60 (Cooper rebate) - $0 (free shipping) = $384

    Wheels: http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/wheels/level_8/product/submitProductSize.do?v=017481%7C2010&pc=16138&tmn=MK6&typ=Truck
$500 (Total: $125x4) - $50 (Web Only Savings) - $0 (They gave me free lug nuts since I missing the eBay deal by only two days, they are normally $45) - $0 (free shipping) = $450

    Center Caps: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0096GL09Y/
    $55.84 (Total: $13.96x4) - $0 (free shipping, Amazon Prime) = $55.84
It looks like they are cheaper now at $10.93/ea with free shipping so $43.72 total. Good deal!

damn that's an awesome deal. I really like how your truck looks with the wheels/tires you have but I don't wanna copy your setup. lol. i'm currently on the hunt for my own wheel setup and lift. thanks for a little inspiration though. your truck isn't lifted right?

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery haha. I wouldn't be offended! Thanks though!

100% stock TRD Sport suspension, does not rub at all. I took off all of the mud flaps because I like the look better but that's the only place where it could possibly rub (on the front flaps). They would most likely only rub at full lock if at all.

When looking for wheels and tires, you have to be mindful of the specs. Stock size on Tacomas is 265/70R16 or 265/65/R17 (~31in tires). You can go up to 265/75R16, 265/70R17, or 265/65R18 (~32in tires) with zero problems and no rubbing IF you stay with the same width and offset wheels as stock. Stock for the 17in TRD Sport wheels are 7.5in wide with a +30mm offset.

The wheels I put on are 8in wide with a 0mm offset so they are .5in wider and they also stick out almost an extra .5-1in from the offset. They fit perfectly but if you went with a lower offset (less than 0mm) on stock suspension, you would most likely having rubbing issues in the wheel well. I like how the wheels sit farther out a lot more than stock, it gives a more aggressive stance (but more mud on the sides of the truck especially with no flaps). Also, definitely rides rougher at speeds over 50mph than stock but that's expected with AT tires, it isn't too bad.

Overall, I'm very happy with the wheel/tire upgrade!

Also, going up a size in tires gives you roughly an inch of lift!

Sounds like you have good taste ;)

I was thinking of debadging and then decided to plasti dip them gunmetal to match the rims. TRD Sport stickers came off but I'm thinking of doing some custom ones.

I've actually been going back and forth on the ghost raptor grill for the past few weeks! Let me know when you do it. I may check out yours first before I bite the bullet :) I've also been thinking about getting a TRD skid plate or an aftermarket one and either plasti dipping it gunmetal or black.

Unfortunately, Josie was sold about a year ago since I unexpectedly had to move about an hour away from my job leading to a much longer commute. I then bought a VW Golf TDI to save money on gas which then tanked in value a month later to their diesel scandal. :frusty:

Good news is that once they buy it back in a few months, I'm hoping to buy a 2016 Taco! I miss it! I'd buy back my old truck shown on this page in a heartbeat if I could find it.
