I am thankful Riley stopped at 105...lifting his ass into the back seat after a hard run is bad enough.

I suggest working with treats to get him to walk up the ramp.

we try that every time, hes just not treat motivated. I looked at a cooler, or a bench that I have, but he has a hard time bringing his back legs up that high. I was thinking about building some folding stairs, or getting one of those folding step ladders at HD.

Food seems to always work, but reading some of the other comments I agree a box and food would be your ticket to success....

How is he for a house buddy? Would you buy one for yourself? I am a Boxer nut myself but I like to mix my ownership up....

She is a great dog. Surprisingly she doesn't she'd to much because my mom keeps her brushed and groomed. She's never been trimmer so her hair is pretty long. My self I'm more of a short hair dog kinda guy. I'll be buying a house soon on 20 acres and I plan on getting a Blue Heeler or some sort of collie to keep on the property.

Does he have toys that he loves? Also, try the ramp away from the truck-start flat then increase the angle slowly?

I fed my dog in the back of the truck for a few days. first lifting her in and then giving her the food. Then putting the food in the back of the truck and waiting for her to jump without any help. She missed two meals being stubborn, but the next morning she just jumped straight in.

Parking with the gate over a big curb helps lower the height for the first few times.

also hanging a blanket off the gate. there seems to be something about the visual that freaks some dogs out.
(kinda like a double vs a table top for riders out there)

The biggest dog in the house (4 dogs) thinks he's the smallest and will try to squeeze into the smallest areas. He almost laid on top of the cat and had to climb over my other dog and wife to get up there.

    Happy Birthday Lucy!

This was from about 3 years ago. They said "let him off the leash-it's OK"...

It's a motorcycle dealership and he's sitting on the pass-thru between parts and service. He's panting because the guys were encouraging him to jump through-cheap entertainment I guess.

One of our 4 children, she's a big husky! 100lbs but is a total gentle giant. I love her to death, she's quickly become my dog of the bunch.

It may be nice to know but businesses who have a dog at work have less work place violence....!!!

Riley grew up at the office. Peeps would come by and play with him or take him for a walk. He had free reign to roam around. We used to have "dog sled" rides around the office once and a while too.

I definitely think it helps. Of course, not everyone likes dogs...he peed in that guys office once.
