    Finally got around to installing my bed light kit. I must say, it works like a charm. Main two reasons I got it were for camping, and b/c I load a jon boat back there a lot in the dark, and it'd be only a matter of time before I smashed a rod, left something unstrapped, or scratched my truck.

    Install was super easy. Hardest part was figuring out where I wanted to mount the switch. I ran the wire from the battery, under the fuse panel, under that mug guard for the engine, into the frame, then along the frame all the way to the rear.

    One thing I couldn't figure out is what are those black squares for with the sticky tape on them?

    Pics attached. The pics with just the bed are from right before I loaded the jon boat, and you can see how absent of light the surrounding area is. Then a couple pics with the boat in with more light.

    Looks great! Really excited to get mine when Dane gets back.

    My understanding is the squares are for sticking to a surface, then using it with a zip tie to route the wires.

    So the squares your referring to are zip tie mounts. they are giving for the corners in the bed for the wire so it isn't just drooping. that's why extra loom was added so you can cut an amount to cover those wires going to each strip. pretty sure there are pictures of this in the first few pages or so.

    Well if its any info, these switches are pretty durable, haven't had any complaints about the switches going bad or anything but, if youd still like to get a different switch that's no problem
