30 and younger thread

You have to check out their new Music City Center (if you're able to get in)...holy crap it's a huge building. There's a giant arena in there somewhere and somehow I failed at finding it. Next time I go I'd like to stay an extra few days. Didn't really get to explore everything as I was stuck in conferences and the trade show floor most of the time. I did get to party in the Wild Horse Saloon, that place was cool!

 

Some smart dudes on here. I'm a Petroleum Engineering major at Penn State. Another year left. Ready to start working and make some serious mods on my truck...... I mean money

 

My lady just got the Note 4. Makes my Note 3 seem archaic. I'll be eligible for an upgrade in a few months.

 

Its not that bad. It seems horrible for a while but then things dont seem so overwhelming.

 

I almost went petroleum, but in talking with some people that have worked with the big oil companies up in Ak they said ME should still give me plenty of options in oil as well as lots of there areas as well so I decided I wanted to keep my options more open.

End goal is still an oil related job with one of the big three oil companies in Ak though.

 

That's exactly what I've heard as well. Plus with the possibility of the natural gas pipeline becoming a real thing up there in the near future, there's great opportunities there as well.

 

Yeah oil is booming here in PA so I won't have to travel too far. I have lots of family in the business so it's definitely the right path. A lot of students here get a job before they even graduate. And yeah ME is such a broad major you have soo many options coming out of school

Speaking of school, my sister lives in socal and has a UC Irvine Medical campus across the street from her. I may be moving down there

I am going to apply for a few jobs at the medical campus and see what happens. I also want to get my EMT license so it may be a double win if something comes of it.

that is so god damn subjective lol. My goal is to be the least boring accountant on the face of this earth. I think im enjoying life just fine. Some people can have a shitty personality and attitude and have life suck...but i am not going to be one of those people

 

Oh yea very true. I meant it more in terms we don't get paid as much because our jobs are more.."fun". Or whatever you want to say.

Not that that can't be said about any job. But I mean if I'm a professional musician, damn. That would be awesome. Play trumpet all the time and make 70-120k a year? Shit..haha get to travel like crazy too. But I digress.

It really is more a state of mind as you said.
