    Good question!!

Yes, there will be 1/16" thick water resistant double sided tape on top of the rail to act as a barrier between the cap and the truck's sheet metal.

Arb front bumper, warn winch, All Pro rear bumper, OME up front, OME and All Pro Standard in Back, ARB locker, 34 x 10.5 KO2's, 17" Level 8 Trackers, and fancy single piece driveshaft.
So for your next product, please invent something that will let me anchor something like a gas can or 5 gallon bucket or milk crate or 20 lb propane tank in the front corner of the bed. Or maybe rear corner. The factory rail system is too high to do this. Thanks

Vikes, how are you meaning to anchor it? With tie downs? Is there nothing you can do with the bed d rings and the rail system combined?

Last night I started design on a modular cargo basket system that will suspend from my crossbars and drop down into the bed.

It will be sold in as many pieces as people need, kind of a' la carte if you will.

If you need it to span all the way across the bed, it can. If you only need it to span halfway across the bed, it can.

Can you make a cross bar system that will be elevated out of the bed to hold a basket?

The heavy duty cross bar sits a couple inches higher than the bed.

One question...With these side rail caps being 1/8" thick and bolting between the bed sides and the cleat rail, this is going to make 1/4" less between the cleat rails. Is this going to effect the use of your cross bars??

    Good question!!

The holes in the cross bars are slotted in the long direction, so we should be good to go.

I will make double sure when I get a complete set of side rail caps on my truck though.

So then those with caps and tonneaus that take into account the factory 3/8" drop between the sides and bed front may have issues with only a 1/4" drop now?

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
You ever think about making the bed brackets out of the 11 gauge?
